Edit: it's been 6+ months and they have finally got it! There are still occasion when the food is cold and I always check my food before I leave, but the past few times everything has been amazing.
I know that there is a learning curve with any brand-new business, but this is ridiculous. I have been twice in the past two weeks and both times I have waited 20 and 30 minutes in the drive-thru. Neither time was there anyone in front of me in line. The first time I was the first in the drive-thru at opening I ordered two baskets and two custard, it took 30 minutes. Got my burgers first in about 10 minutes and then custard nearly 20 minutes later. Our burgers were cold by then and my burger was pink all the way through. I just assumed that maybe they needed more time to get going so I gave them a second chance and went again later in the day today. So today I went later in the day and there was no one else in line. After 15 minutes I got burgers, a few minutes later got our two "concretes"... Which were wrong. After waiting another few minutes got the correct order and headed home. When I got home my burger was not even remotely put together properly, the burger was barely on the bun. Not to mention that I ordered a Deluxe and my burger was bare, didn't even have cheese just meat and bread. The final straw and clencher was when I took a big bite of my "concrete" and yet again it was wrong. I may try and go back I about 6 months, but it won't be anytime soon. Again, I understand that they are new and it takes a bit to get going, but this was just too much wrong consistently and...
Read moreSo I go to Culver's all the time, it's probably my favorite fast food chain because it's so much cleaner and better than most fast food places.
I come by this Dawsonville location often, because I work in the area frequently, and in the past it has been good.
However, a couple of issues on my most recent visit. I walked in, and I have never waited so long to be acknowledged by the staff in the front. I can tell Culver's usually tries to be really fast about making sure people are noticed and take their order. However, the lady that was in the front just ignored me for about 5-10 minutes.
She was walking back and forth, just taking her time and ignored me completely. I don't mind waiting at all, if someone just shows they see me, and ask me to wait. I would have no complaints at all.
After just standing there in front of the counter awkwardly for a while, she came over and jerked her head, as if to beckon me to the register, without even saying a word.
I was pretty surprised, as usually all the Culvers are much better than this.
One last thing I'll mention, and I have no idea what caused it, but near the drink machines, there was a rotten smell. I do not have a great sense of smell, so if I smell it, then it's got to be bad.
Hopefully, they get the lady up to their standards, and find out what caused the smell and get...
Read moreI am from IL and have always loved this food chain. I am very disappointed for THIS location. My girlfriend and I would occasionally plan trips to the SC location and always left full and happy. Here the service is complete crap when the store owner is not working. For instance, we order concretes, we ask for flavor of the day in the first and chocolate with Reese's and cookie dough. They mix up the order giving flavor of the day with chocolate and vanilla with the Reese's and cookie dough. No big deal, go back up to the counter ask for another. They come back not 30 seconds later with a mix of vanilla and chocolate instead of a new concrete with the right mix of toppings. The excuse given when we confront them on this is to say "well, we don't have any more of those toppings." I'm sorry, if that's the case, you ask me which new toppings I would like, do not mix ice cream and think it's acceptable. Or give me a refund. This will most likely be our last trip to this location, 2 hours of driving each way for better service is worth it compared to the idiot kids who get hired on here for the...
