Del Taco — Restaurant in Georgia

The reply to this review from management is 9 months old. Today we arrived at 6:30pm to pick up a simple online order of crunchy del tacos. Completely basic beef and one chicken. There was no one in the drive through but us, and three cars parked with two people at different tables on the outdoor patio. After sitting for several minutes we were told TY pull around to the front of the restaurant where we still waited. No other cars were in the drive through when we left, and none passed us while we were pulled up to the front. Once again, they're cheating on drive through times to get people off of the sensor pad in front of the drive through window. Management replied 9 months ago sorry about he experience, but nothing has changed. The response, I infer, was simply PR, not intentional. The woman with very long thin braids who finally brought our simple order out either ha been trained to cheat drive through times, which is a serious problem, or has chosen to do it herself. Nice employees, but management stop with the drive through time gaming. Coming to the location and asking after pulling up to the window to either back up off of the drive through timer sensor or pull forward off of it and wait to be called to get back in front of the window is ridiculous, and this time there was no other car in the drive through. Either way, it's very annoying and for people who know what's going on, a real turn-off to the business location. Drive through time is meant to show how long customers wait for orders. If people can't keep up, you need...

I tried Del Taco for the first time (ever) a couple months ago, and it wasn't bad at all. I'd say it is a little pricey for what you get, and the "combo" doesn't come with any sides, only a drink.

I tried the Cali Steak & Guac burrito, and my boyfriend tried the Carne Asada Burrito. We both agreed the meat was pretty tasty, and they were pretty thick. Only wish is it came with maybe some chips and salsa? or some fries.

Another thing is we decided to order from the Drive Thru, and they took forever. We were the only ones in line and it them took about 15 min for 2 burritos. Everything was fresh, and hot, but still seems kinda excessive for a fast food place.

Service was okay, both ladies who took our order were nice, and apologized for taking so long. I would probably be back.

Probé Del Taco por primera vez hace un par de meses, y no estuvo nada mal. Yo diría que es un poco caro para lo que obtienes, y el "combo" no viene con ningún lado, solo una bebida.

Probé el burrito de Cali Steak & Guac, y mi novio probó el Burrito de Carne Asada. Los dos estuvimos de acuerdo en que la carne era bastante sabrosa, y eran bastante gruesos. Solo desearía que viniera con quizás chips y salsa? o unas papas fritas.

Otra cosa es que decidimos ordenar del Drive Thru, y se tardaron una eternidad. Éramos los únicos en la fila y tomo unos 15 minutos para 2 burritos. Todo era fresco y caliente, pero todavía parece un poco excesivo para un lugar de comida rápida.

El servicio fue bueno, las dos damas que tomaron nuestro pedido fueron amables y se disculparon por tomar tanto tiempo....

Update October 2023: the soda machine has been malfunctioning for months now. How much longer til y'all get off your butt and have it fixed? Everything else (food wise) is still good at this location

Adding 2nd photo from in-person visit in June 2022. Y'all, corporate needs to know about this, and enforce proper sanitation practices.

Update 2022: Dropping a star because when I PAY for a medium, I expect to GET a medium. Not a medium cup only 80% full. And no, this is not a one time thing. I can overlook the occasional newbie or whatever. This is now every time I go to this location they under-serve the drinks. Oh and hey drive thru guy, the word PLEASE costs you nothing and makes you sound less rude when you decide not to tell me my total and instead just say "pull up to the window". On second thought I'm dropping another star because this store is super slow and half the time they are totally unapologetic about it. It's a crapshoot, you never know if it's going to be a good visit or a bad one! The only redeeming grace is my food is usually correct and fresh.
