Edit in response to your review:

It's interesting that you mention there are always two sides to a story. You're right. And the other side of this story is that your waitress, who we later learned is your niece, was incredibly rude to our party from the moment we arrived. We actually came in with a pleasant attitude, excited to celebrate. It was only after the poor service began that we raised concerns, doing so civilly.

To claim we had 'nasty attitudes' from the start is simply untrue and sounds like an excuse to deflect from your niece's behavior. Slamming receipts in water and on the table after we spoke to you calmly about the issues is hardly professional.

Yes, it was Mother's Day, a special day for us, and unfortunately, your establishment and your niece's actions ruined our celebration. Perhaps instead of making false accusations on a public forum, you should address the behavior of your staff. ———————————————————————— 1st review: Our first visit to Flavortown was shockingly disappointing, to put it mildly. Our young waitress provided exceptionally inattentive service, failing to mention specials and rarely checking on our table. Offering only fleeting, dismissive "are y'all good?" comments in passing as she walked by, leaving no real opportunity to respond.

The food was equally subpar. While the chicken was acceptable, the waffles were doughy and tasted distinctly of flour. My "peach and pecan" waffle was meagerly topped with a few peach pieces and a scattering of large, dry pecan halves. The eggs I received were watery and lacked the requested cheese, and the fruit was soggy and waterlogged. Other members of our party also experienced issues.

When I addressed these concerns with the manager, her response was unhelpful, stating verbatim, "It's Mother's Day and she's young, we're doing the best that we can given it's a busy day." I explained that while I understood it was busy, this did not excuse the poor service.

Following this conversation, our waitress's attitude worsened, culminating in her slamming the receipts on the table and snatching the card machine from our hands during payment. As frequent diners in this area, we've never encountered such an abysmal experience.

I strongly advise against visiting this...

Let’s start off with the atmosphere. The location is very small, looks bigger on the website. It is first come first serve so if your whole party isn’t there then you can’t be seated. The hostess told us when our party was there to let her know and we can be seated. When our party arrived I walked over and politely said “Whenever you are ready our party is here”. Her response was with an attitude “I see you, I will seat you in a minute” and turns around to proceed to continue what she was doing. The booth we sat in was just ok and room enough for our party. Now let’s get to the service. It was horrible. Our server Steph took forever to greet us. Never came to check up on us after the food came to see if we needed any refills or condiments. I feel service plays an important part in the experience of the restaurant especially with this being my first time coming. The bartender seemed like she had an attitude about everything. When complaining about a lemon drop that she made that wasn’t to my sisters liking her response was “Well, I been making them all day and no one has ever complained about them”. That was not an appropriate response to a complaint. I give her credit for making a new drink in replace of the lemon drop that was more of her liking, but the attitude took away from the experience big time. Now lastly the food. I ordered the seafood platter with sides of candied yams, greens and mac n cheese. It was good. I would give it an 8/10 only cuz the sides were warm in temperature and not hot. When we did have a complaint about the food there was no manager on site. That right there is a red flag. There should ALWAYS be some type of manager on site. Luckily the chef came out and took care of everything. He was nice and respectful. He made the experience more welcoming he came to check in on us as well as took pics of us on the way out. To sum this whole experience up, I would not return to dine. I would definitely come to pick up my food to go. Now will I try a different location absolutely because not every location may have the...

I’m a positive person in most situations. I gave 3 stars because the food is amazing. It’s always cooked fresh and hot. I also loved the fact it was a black owned restaurant with an upscale feel for the Dacula area. Very clean with a nice presentation.

However, the owner thought this was my first visit that has gone bad. Unfortunately, it’s not. My first visit was a 40 minute wait on a to go order. With my profession, I have a habit of asking someone to repeat what I have stated to ensure we’re on the same accord. The cashier repeated my order properly, so I thought I was good. After a 40 minute wait, I get home to all wrong food. Did they make it right, yes. The issue for me was the young lady didn’t want to take accountability and immediately offered a refund instead of fixing her mistake.

My 2nd visit was tonight with my daughter. We were greeted immediately and seated. We received the wrong menus, however, it was rectified immediately. Waiter brought our beverages and that was it. She never came back. New people walked in and I saw their orders being taken immediately. My daughter continued to tell me how hungry she was and what was taken so long. I made the decision to get up and leave. You never know who is coming into your place of business. I have a private chef and rarely eat out. It was literally 2 people in the in the dinning area and 3 people at the bar. The owner should have jump in after seeing the wait. Instead, him and his wife was fraternizing with customers at the bar, while the dinning was suffering.

I did call for management once I left the restaurant to express my concerns. The owner did take accountability which I appreciated that. However, I’m not sure if it’s worth going back when I usually tip $100 and up! I rather bless waitresses that’s in the business to understand the assignment and the fact that you never know who’s...
