Myself along with other family members have eaten here MANY times. More than we could count. In fact, I left a 5 star review one month ago and now here I am editing it and giving them one star. Tonight my fiancé and I ordered a Greek pizza, a cannoli and a tiramisu. When eating my pizza(which has chicken on it) I bit down super hard right on a BONE. My tooth was hurting obviously and I lost my appetite for the pizza, but wasn’t going to complain because accidents happen. I then however, began eating my tiramisu out of the container it came in and with my second bite there was a HAIR! Of course I was disgusted and was obviously not going to eat it. So, I called the restaurant to warn them of the bone and to also tell them about the hair. A very sweet girl nervously was trying to help me and told me they could give me 20% off our next order and hung up. So I called back and wanted to see if they could just give me a refund for the $4 tiramisu instead because I wasn’t going to eat it! I didn’t even care about the pizza.. just wanted them to know. She couldn’t refund me so she had to get the owner or manager (assuming he was the owner) he asked me what happened and I explained. He then went on to tell me that there was no way there was a hair because “they wear hats and double check their tiramisu” and that he wanted us to bring it up there. I told him I didn’t want to have to drive back up there because who would want to?! He then began telling me basically that I was a liar and that there is absolutely no way there was a bone in my chicken. He was extremely rude. Of course once I was being called a liar I was not happy and it resulted in me telling him I didn’t care for a refund and I was just gonna post the pictures of the bone and hair and leave a review. He very rudely said ok and hung up. I NEVER leave bad reviews, only good ones. But I really can’t believe the way this man handled the situation. He was so rude and disrespectful to me. Not ok. My fiancé ended up driving up there with the chicken and bone in a zip lock bag and the box of tiramisu just to show that I wasn’t lying and to at least have the tiramisu replaced and when he did the man refused to talk to him, not even an apology. Horrible customer service and we will not...
Read moreMy family has been visiting Italian Pie since it was a single restaurant in Lawrenceville. Back then they had notes of praise all over the restaurant and their service rocked as did their pizza.
We have had multiple issues with customer service with this location and with orders being wrong, pretty much every time we go here there is something wrong, but we try to tolerate it, try to help the owner by letting him know if things are not right. I have never felt like they didn't care if our experience was bad, that is before tonight.
We do not typically use Uber Ears so the issues we have had before tonight had nothing to do with Uber. Even tonight's really didn't have anything to do with Uber.
We get our order, all nicely wrapped in a bag delivered by Uber. We open it inside and realize that they didn't send the fries we paid to have added. We call the restaurant and the person who answered our us on the phone with what appeared to be the manager. First he lies to us that he had no way of knowing what We order from Uber? How could you make it then? Wouldn't the amount charged be too high if they didn't know? So we try to make him pull out the receipt and go over it with us, something he didn't want to do. He finally admits that YEA he can see the item we ordered that wasn't included, but now he explains that it was the UBER drivers fault because they should have checked the item before delivering it? So you are telling me they just untie knots to see what is the the bags YOU packaged? Why would it not be the restaurants responsibility to make sure the food delivered matched what was ordered? We made it clear that we have been going there for many years, well over 10 I believe and I wondered if it is worth it to him to argue with a customer over. $3-$4 item? Just apologize! Make it right! But no, not this manager. It must have felt really good being right, at least in his mind.
I hate people who threaten to never come back. Obviously this guy doesn't care if I come back or not. I'm pretty sure that I will Drive s but further as many times as possible to not eat pizza here and to tell people how much of an idiot...
Read moreWell, today was my husbands birthday. He just wanted to stay home and have some pizza, so I ordered 2 medium pizzas. One was a cheese pizza, one was a specialty pizza that is on their menu. I made the mistake to order a large Greek salad and changed the dressing to Caesar instead of the usual vinaigrette. I asked for 2 large dressings. Doesn’t seem difficult to me. I asked my daughter to pick it up on her way home from work. Again, not difficult. So in she went. I truly don’t know what happened, but my daughter called me in tears. The order was wrong. They were giving her pizza with someone else’s name on it, I don’t know if we got the right pizzas. All I know is that they were stone cold and gross when they were opened at home. I’m thinking we were given someone else’s dinner order that wasn’t picked up earlier, especially since someone else’s name were on the boxes. This was unacceptable! Of course the salad order was also wrong. A Caesar salad was presented. I was given 2 SMALL Caesar dressings. I had asked the manager, (yes I spoke to the manager), the girl who took my order, twice, that I needed 2 large dressings. Needless to say, my daughter was in tears, I became angry after dealing with the manager and cashier twice, and my husband whose birthday it was was so upset he couldn’t eat. I told my daughter to get back her money and just come home. She was in her car, when the people from the restaurant brought out to the car, the cold pizzas, a small salad and 2 small dressings. Then they asked to be paid. Sadly, my daughter sent in her friend to pay the FULL price for a dinner which wasn’t what we ordered. No apologies, to me(I was on their phone 3 times), or to my daughter. I am furious because of how I was treated on the phone and how my daughter was treated in person. It certainly wasn’t a happy birthday dinner for my husband or any of us. We won’t be going back, even though they do have good pizza, especially when it’s hot, or at least warm... not so good cold. If you don’t want to be treated rudely, or be completely frustrated, go to another restaurant, there are plenty of...
