I don't eat a lot of hamburgers, mostly because I dislike the current style of oversized pub burgers piled high with toppings. A good burger should be manageable to eat, with the right ratios of bread to meat, and meat to toppings. Frosty's burger is a clinic in how to make a hamburger. It is nearly perfect by every measure, including the application of condiments.
If you want something fancy, this isn't going to be your jam. But, if you want a burger that is deceptively simple, with high quality ingredients, that tastes like a burger is supposed to taste, then I cannot recommend this place highly enough.
Their crinkle-cut fries are on point as well, as are their milkshakes and ice cream desserts. No doubt this has a lot to do with sourcing ingredients from quality farms and farmers.
In summary, if you want the best version of a hamburger on the Island, there's no better choice than Frosty's. They're new and still working out their processes, but any wait is...
Read moreThis place was extremely nostalgic for those who loved to go to a drive-in when they were younger. It had the decor and general overall feeling of a classic burger and fries and milkshake establishment of the 70s and 80s. The menu was an old school push lettering Style with the old school Pepsi branded boards. The menu was simple which pretty much offered the Staples of what you would find at a drive-in like burgers and fries and milkshakes. We ordered what they called the hurricane which was the knockoff to the blizzard. The ice cream was delicious and we sat in a booth enjoying the music from the 70s and looked around at the other people enjoying their food. It was a very cute place and I would actually love to come back here when I come back to visit this island. I don't recommend bringing a date here or trying to impress somebody.. this is perfect for just getting some ice cream or a very...
Read moreI visited Frosty's shortly after it opened and to say it was lackluster would be an understatement. Our order was incorrect but corrected by an attentive manager very quickly. That was the highlight of the first visit. The food was so-so. We got dessert after the meal but they were out of everything but vanilla ice cream. We ended up paying full price for the size of a .50 cone at McDonald's because they were rationing what ice cream they had left. I cannot express how far this place has come. We stopped in today and the lady working the counter could not have been friendlier and more attentive, something we didn't experience the first time around. The food this visit was fast, fresh and accurate. The DL3 burger is an absolute game changer. I could not be more impressed with the strides that they have made and the quality of the staff and food. Cannot wait to return again, keep up...
