My husband and I were in the area today working, and we ordered a $75 order online! We got there, my husband went in, and they told him that we must have ordered at a different location, because they did not have the order. He showed them the email, and suddenly, the order was found. They then told me that they did not have any shrimp patties, even though they were available to order, and would I like to swap them for another patty! I said that was fine, but the shrimp patty costs more than the beef or chicken ones, and I would like my different back! They said they would give me some bread to make up the difference! They then fixed two small oxtail plates, even though my ordered plainly stated that I paid for large! She indicated that the large plates were $2 dollars more online! I asked her how much a large oxtail plate was, and she said $17.27! Well, my receipt plainly shows that I paid for 2 oxtail plates at $16.99 each! She told me that she would just not give me the 2 patties that she was swapping out for the shrimp ones, and give me large oxtail plates! My husband showed her the receipt again, and it plainly showed that I paid for 2 larges! I told her that I ordered 10 patties, and that is what I expected to get! She finally fixed me two large oxtail plates! We drive home, which is over an hour away, and they did not give me my large rice and peas! The food is great, but I would advise you not to order online at this location! I should not have had to argue over 30 minutes for over $75 worth of food, only to get home and they still left something out! I had my order in my email, and that is what should have been given to me! The customer service was awful, and I still did not get everything I paid for! I will NEVER try this...

7/8/2024 I can only blame myself for returning, but that's it. i don't even need a response from the owner. I thought all GKs were to follow a format and the same recipe. There is no reason to spend so much for so little food. As a half Jamaican, I'm kicking myself because I know how to make these dishes. I'm sorry but Fireside gives you way more food and the people are friendly. Times are rough. No one wants to spend over $30 for 5 fatty oxtails and for curry goat that is so salty you can't even eat it.. This place used to be so good, and now they are just terrible and the people are not friendly. They don't even smile. I'm never going back, unless they change hands. My hard earned money is worth more than what they want to dish out to people.

For the love of god stop with the ginger!! Brown stew chicken should not taste like ginger chicken. Just purchased a small and the ginger is overpowering. I can't even enjoy. As soon as I looked at it I knew it was prepared differently. I got some this past weekend and it was great! Isn't there a standard recipe or is everyone who cooks just doing their own thing according to their taste. I am half Jamaican. I have never had brown stew chicken with ginger! It's not even the same color as the plate I bought on Saturday. It's hard to spend so much money on a plate of food and be so disappointed. This spot is usually on point but not today. It's not even that I don't like ginger because I do, but when all you taste is ginger, it's a ginger flavored stew. Sometimes the cabbage tastes like it has ginger in it as well. Stop it! I came in to this location ordered a dinner and I ordered 3 Patty's. One Chicken Patty and 2 beef patties and the Server grab one of the beef patties from a different location and I told her that I wanted two beef Patty's and she said that it was but I noticed she grabbed it from a different location and it didn't say mild beef. When I got home it was not beef it was chicken. I did not take the beef Patty back the same day and when I brought it back she told me that she could not replace the chicken Patty with a beef Patty because it was not the same day. When I asked to speak with the manager she told me that she was the manager and that there was nothing that she could do. She argued with me over giving me a beef Patty which is what I ordered not a chicken Patty and refuse to give me a beef patty. She told me if I wanted To talk with her supervisor that I would have to come back on Monday which is four days later to take it up with her. I can't believe all this over a beef Patty!! Which I told her when she grabbed it that it wasn't beef, and she assured me that it was! Good food but POOR customer service!! Poor!
