I enjoy the $6.00 Tuesdays deal, however it use to be $5.00. Yes, customers like me, notice the extra $1.00 change. The $5 small popcorn & beverage is a good deal. What I could not tolerate was the raggedy seats that I know use to be brand new not to long ago. I remember the red leather seat were gorgeous when AMC 24 first renovated, but yesterday I chose one seat out of many that looks so run down currently that I personally didn't even want to sit in it. AMC 24 is way better than to let customers pay $6-$20 walk-in, or online for any movie, & then have customers sitting in run down busted pleather seats like this. People would rather sit in their own seats at home to watch a screen for hours, and they eat food affordably, so it is very important to fix these issues as soon as possible for customers who would like to get out and enjoy themselves at AMC 24.
Yes, I have pictures of how bad it looks AMC 24. I honestly didn't feel comfortable to sit in the seat I chose. Also, the prices of food are ridiculously high priced. There would be more revenue if all AMC's had a dollar menu or something that would make people enjoy their meal while watching a movie. I ordered the chicken strips before, & they were alright, but I really wish all AMC's had some type of lesser price & satisfying type of meal deals. People are already paying for high priced movie tickets per Adult/Senior/Child.
The gist is to Please Update the Seats that are highly Damaged. (It'll be a Tax Write Off for the Owner.)
I repeat: Please fixed the highly Damaged seats. (My Experience) I sat in Auditorium #9. I saw more than one seats that looks rough.
I watched the movie Jumanji. (Even they would be shocked to sit in damaged seats IF they chose to visit AMC 24 one day). I just hope others don't feel as uncomfortable to my seat as I did, so I am posting online to give awareness to customers. Be Careful what Seat Number You Choose. It's like a Bad Romance to get the Busted Seat in the movie theater. (Further venting) Seriously, I felt like it was so bad because the light to the number was off, & there was no sign of struggle. Lol Usually a business would put up a sign stating,"Out of Order, or Not Available," but It was Available to ME, & I didn't Appreciate it at all. The whole row was empty last night, & I get the worse chair??🤦🏾♀️
I have never experienced seats like this in a movie theater, until last night. I love AMC24 & grew up watching movies at this theater, but it was very disappointing to see. I would like a refund actually, & movie passes or something. Please, renovate, order some replacement chairs as soon as possible. Again, (the owner can write it off), but something needs to be done soon. I'll watch for new changed, because I might go back to watch another movie, but I'm just not sure of myself anymore. 2 Stars. These seats...
Read moreWell , did not expect writing a review , but as an act of public service for disabled people , I decided to. Nothing can ruin your movie experience more than coming to watch a movie at AMC Southlake 24. We had two people that are living with two different disabilities in our group (wheelchair users and vision impaired person), and somehow , AMC managed to discriminate against both. We were looking forward to watching Sonic 3 and arrived 30 min before start time with already pre purchased tickets. The wheelchair accessible seats are on top and staff did not inform us we may need to use an elevator . So we went into the auditorium and 3 people went to the seats in row L while two including wheelchair user went back out to look for elevator after we discovered that unable to get to the seats with wheelchair. Staff informed us where to look for elevator and while on our way, we were informed casually by another staff member that the elevator is broken since September (we were in end of December). I could not believe it as it is clearly a violation of Americans with Disabilities Act which is a LAW since 1990 ( for 34 years now). Yet the guest assistance desk was ready to address it (as they I am sure had to do hundreds of times in last 3 months for people with disability that AMC discriminate against ) by offering seats in 3 d row on the side. We accepted as the movie already started . Seats were not as good as our original seats .. too close and on the side. We had to move the other 3 people from our party downstairs , including vision impaired person who now had to walk stairs again. The audio descriptive headphones also advertised by AMC for this theater and given to our vision impaired friend not work. After trying to make them work , while movie was already on, I went back to ask for help (4th time ). The staff assisting tried and after 15-20 min advised us that they do not work as for some reason AMC , while advertised, did not put correct part of technology in place to make it work for vision impaired . Truth to be told , two assistant managers did respond to our concerns and , while not able to resolve, gave us a gift card for ruined experience (offered 1 ticket first but that was a bit of a joke , after insisting and asking for general manager to be involved all 5 tickets were credited via gift card ) We will use the card to go to another movie . It would have to be AMC as is the gift card . I ll call corporate office after Christmas to ask : what is the best way to find AMC theater where people with disabilities are not discriminated against specifically wheelchair users and vision impaired. Truly have to find in advance , so do not ruin another experience. I ll update with...
Read moreWe had gone to watch a movie at the amc southlake, for a 8:00pm show. When we get there we are not allowed entry because we have 2 kids( one toddler and one infant.) The Manager comes out to explain to us since the movie is NR, it's automatically rated R and we are not allowed to take any kids under 6 age after 6pm to watch any rated r movies. Okay, so this made us furious because we have been going to this theatre for years and never had this issue come up. Also, we were not notified of such existing rule before at all. If that was the case, why were kids tickets allowed to be purchased in the first place. A disclaimer should pop up on the website right when we book the tickets and shows for beyond that time. Secondly, The manager gave us the refund and explained the rule but not WHY this rule is implemented. We had drove 1 1/2hr to watch this movie and it was a waste or our time, money, energy and gas. Especially with the economy these days, we cannot afford to spend money like this driving back and forth.I called AMC sugarloaf, AMC north dekalb, AMC Fayetteville and asked if they had such rule. AND ALL of those theatre's said there is NO such rule. If there is a rule, I am okay with it, but why are customers not made aware of it and why do all locations not follow the same rules. The locations not following the rules should get reported because it's not fair to customers. Lastly, I called AMC southlake back and demanded an answer as to why the other theatre's are not following the rules or even have heard of it. A different manager answered the phone CJ howard and explained to me in a very polite, decent manner that this rule has been there before and it's a amc rule and all theatre's are supposed to follow it. I do not understand if kids can watch a R rated movie before 6pm the content of the movie is not going to change after 6pm. Either the kids should be allowed to watch it or not watch it period. There is no need for time restrictions. This a theatre not a adults only club after 6pm. Theatres are supposed to a family experience and time to be together. Lot's of people work after 6pm and lots of people do not have baby sitters to go watch...
