Wok — Restaurant in Georgia

If I could leave less than one star I would. I don't even know where to start with my experience. I went through the drive thru and ordered the #9 (Shrimp & Broccoli with fried rice) and a small order of cream cheese ragoons. The broccoli was super slimy and I ended up getting sick from the food. The ragoons were pretty good. I called them to let them know their food made me sick the next day. They told me to call back to speak to the owner and 530pm. I explained, I just want my money back. They replied, call back at 530pm. I called back and was told to call back later because the owner had not made it there yet. I tried to explain to the person who answered the phone that I just wanted a refund and they replied, "We no give refund. We give you phone number to insurance company and they fix it." I was confused because it was just a little over $9 that I wanted back. I called back after 7pm and I was told he still was not there yet. I asked could they just call me back and I left my mobile #. Needless to say, no one called me back. I noticed the next day on my account statement, that I had two additional charges on my account from this establishment. I went inside the Wok (Asian Stir Fry) a few days later when no one ever called me back. I was not greeted when I walked in. I stood at the counter for a few moments and a lady approached me (She was sitting at one of the booth with what looked like her kids when I walked in and never said hello) and asked what I needed. I gave her a brief summary of why I was there. I explained that not only did I receive bad food the first time patronizing their establishment, but they have taken additional money that was not authorized by me. I was given the run around and asked to show my receipt for the meal I received four days prior. I pulled up my checking account and showed them the additional charges. They then tried to tell me that my credit card company charged me for coming there. I am giving anyone and everyone a warning. Never shop here. They are full of it. They never gave me my refund for any of the three transactions that showed up from their company. Instead they gave me a 800# for Statefarm. Luckly, I am a resourceful woman so I already had the business address and phone number and I filed a claim but who knows how long it is going to take to get back this little change. The icing on the cake was the fact that this business had a 74 as their health score. If I had know that, I would have never shopped here in the first place. TEN THUMBS DOWN. The cashier was very friendly. The food however, wasn’t. We usually have a good experience and no issues with the food especially when we order General chicken or the house mei fun noodles. My son ordered the General Chicken and it was barely edible, it looked old as soon as he took the lid off as if it had been sitting, it didn’t have the glossy finish or taste abd it didn’t taste remotely like General chicken. There was excessive oil in the bottom of the tray and EVERY, yes EVERY piece of meat was tough and chewy as my described as bubble gum. We were chewing and chewing and STILL chewing. We couldn’t even swallow them for fear of choking and had to spit them out in napkins. If I wasn’t 30 minutes away and had to get to a certain destination, I would have returned it. This food had to have been reconstituted or had been sitting from a previous order and they did not want to throw it away but this is ridiculous. I already don’t eat out at fast food restaurants but my son was hungry and as I mentioned, we have never had a bad experience there. If we return, it will not be anytime soon and it will NOT be General chicken that we order..we will stick to the MEI fun noodles. The Philly cheesesteak egg roll was flavorless and had no identifiable taste or profile. That needs to be scrapped from the menu because it’s not good at all. We got this meal at about 3:55 in the afternoon so it makes no sense as to why it looked and tasted old. I hate spending money on product not worth my value and time! We couldn’t even finish it and grew tired of trying to chew old meat. My son could only eat the rice. Most of the chicken is wrapped out in napkins and the remainder is what you see....

If I could give this place a zero star I would ! The food was horrible! Starting with the egg rolls! They have a weird after taste and don't have any flavor or chicken inside and I ordered chicken egg rolls. The supposedly stuffed crabmeat and cheese Rangoons were stale and had a burnt or d oil taste not to mention hardly had any stuffing either! The lo mein I ordered was the wrong one ! I ordered shrimp and beef and they gave me some with chicken ! Let's get to the beef and broccoli, horrible! The beef was extremely chewy and the pieces were big couldn't even swallow it with out having to worry about choking! The fried rice was bland and pretty much plain, (was probably better off getting white rice)no flavor what so ever! The only thing I could say was some what decent was their egg drop soup! And last but not least they forgot our hot mustard and hot oil sauce that we were also charged for! Not worth the 33.00 +$5 tip we paid! I normally don't leave bad reviews but I hope this will help some one in the future when it comes to considering eating here! Don't waste your appetite...
