First time visiting this restaurant with my boyfriend. It wasn't worth the money we paid or the difficulty we had ordering our food. The menu advertises vegan options, but it seems that many of the staff are confused about what vegan food is. We asked our waiter if any of the buns were vegan since we didn't want just a lettuce wrap (vegans don't just eat salad), and our waiter told us the buns shouldn't have meat in them. I clarified that as vegans, we don't consume milk or eggs either, and he seemed very confused. I had to ask him three times to go check the ingredients of the buns to see if they were suitable for us to eat, and when he returned, he said none of the buns were vegan and we could only have the lettuce wrap since we're vegan (definitely not worth $10). This didn't sound right that a vegan patty would be offered but not a vegan bun, so I spoke to the manager. She took the time to listen to my concerns and actually did bother to check the bun ingredients (our waiter never checked at all like we asked him to). The lovely manager informed us which buns were not vegan, so we were finally able to place our order. After about an hour of being there, our meals were brought to us, but the burgers were drenched in some kind of sauce that the waiter told us was "thousand island dressing" (this wasn't even supposed to be on the burger according to the menu). Also, our burgers were missing tomato salsa, so we informed the waiter. He took the plates back to be remade. The new burgers came back just fine, but they were missing the salsa. The waiter told us we couldn't have the tomato salsa since we were vegan. I informed him that it was featured on the "make it vegan" menu option. He then proceeded to tell me again that since we were vegan, they didn't serve it to us. I again told him it was featured as vegan on the menu, and he finally got some for us. As for the food, it was decent. The burger lacked the kind of flavor we expected, but overall it was tasty (judging from the one bite I took out of it). The fries were pretty good and filling. I asked for a to-go box for my burger to take home and filled up on the bottomless fries. The waiters serve the fries in very small portions so you keep having to ask...and ask...and ask again for more fries. I know our waiter was busy and had more to do than deliver fries to us every 5 minutes. The manager was checking on every table and was very involved with the customers. She was especially friendly, helpful, and kind to us, and she let us know that there were some new employees that were still training, so I can understand to some degree why the service was less than exceptional. I just don't understand why our waiter could not have taken a minute out of his time to ask his manager for assistance when he didn't understand which ingredients we were trying to avoid. Also, perhaps a quick verbal/written note to the cooks in the back would encourage them to be more cautious when preparing food for customers with certain food preferences, whether it be vegan customers or those with allergies or food intolerances. We paid our bill and walked out to the car. We were out of the restaurant for only two minutes when we realized I'd forgotten my to-go box, so my boyfriend ran back inside, but the table had already been cleared and my food had been thrown away (which is a huge shame because it was a whole burger I'd only taken one bite out of and we paid over $10 for the meal). I was so eager to try this restaurant because my mom and sister brag about it all the time, and they love it, but my boyfriend and I weren't impressed. I wanted to have a great experience so that we'd have another restaurant option that served vegan food, but to be honest, we probably won't be returning any time soon. We'll have to stick to Chipotle, Mellow Mushroom, Thai House, and Sweet Tomatoes...those are great choices for any fellow vegans out there who need some vegan-friendly...
Read moreFood quality always excellent. I'd come here way more often if it wasn't such a drive. Why doesn't Red Robin have any establishments closer to the city or west side???
Servers here can be hard to track down, but the food is always on par and who can say no to endless fries? I've never walked away unhappy or hungry once from any Red Robin.
Update: came here on April 29th, 2018 and had a 50 minute wait. There was no order to the chaos in the front of the store at all. Places get busy, so this is totally understandable, except when they went to seat us, I realized there were well over 20 tables open we could have at least been able to sit at and wait for a waitress instead of sitting in the very hot waiting area in the sun. The hostess that sit us said, "now that wait wasn't too bad, was it?" I asked her if she knew how long it truly was, as this was obviously poor customer service. She was the one who checked us in and the only person in the front the entire time. Had I have not drove over 30 minutes to come to this restaurant, I'd have walked out. It took another 40 minutes to get the food after ordering, we asked for a couple things, which took the waitress another 20 minutes to get to us, so we were already done eating by the time she got there. Had problems with the automated check out process, so had to flag down the waitress to pay, which took another 15 minutes and she assured me my card wouldn't be charged twice and appologized for the slow wait because there were "problems in the kitchen." I ended up being charged twice, so had to call my credit card company, and both of us got very very sick for the next 3 days after eating here. I think this restaurant needs a health inspection. I'm never coming back to this location and have changed my 5 star rating to a 1 star. Horrible location...
Read moreJust a big dumb cluster**. With a party of 6 on Sunday evening, I ordered a burger and it came out missing some toppings. I let the server know and she said "ok, I'll let them know". I waited for a bit, but once it started getting really cold, i continued eating. Everyone had pretty much finished our meals, but still wanted some of their bottomless sides refilled. After 8 mins of sitting there, I got up from the table and found someone to ask for a refill on 4 sides + a Mac n cheese. The sides came and the server asked if we needed anything else. We told her that everyone needed a refill on drinks and the waitress asked me if anyone had come to talk about the burger. I said "no".
I'm guessing it was a manager that came over to ask about my food. She asked, "if there was something missing, why did you eat it all?". I told her that I first mentioned it 15 mins ago so I wasn't just going to sit around while everyone else ate. We have a 1.5yo and I had just expected the missing jalapeno coins to be brought out to me. She said "that's not how it works. If something is wrong you can't just finish it. You need to give it back to us so we can make it right." I told her, "I'm sorry, but I did sit here for about 5 mins waiting and when it was clear that nobody was coming over I just continued with my meal. If you dont believe me that something was missing you can talk to your server because she saw it." She just said well all I can do since you ate it is take $3 off your bill. I told her I don't need any money off, all I wanted was the jalapenos.
Well, I never got them. We never got our Mac n cheese refill. I never got my sweet tea refill. The manager did actually take $2 off my sister in laws bill,...
