I look forward to going to Starbucks - it’s my special treat to myself usually on the weekend. Out of desperation, I went to an in-store location as the regular one was temporarily closed. The gentleman was less than friendly, indifferent at best, and seemed as if he hated his job. Rarely do I experience this type of poor service at a Starbucks but I hate going to in-store locations as I find them of inferior quality. I ordered a tall, Carmel macchiato, upside down, extra hot, made with blond expresso. I was given a cup with a thick layer of Carmel sauce going down the length of the cup and sleeve, I asked for napkins and a new sleeve… the associate didn’t apologize for serving me in such a sloppy way, didn’t immediately give me a new sleeve and told me the napkins were over there… pointing by the garbage/napkin area. Of course I asked for a new sleeve a second time before going to get napkins… I really pray for people to care about what you do until you can do something better. On this particular day, the girl couldn’t figure out how to ring in a Frappuccino as decaf. So she decided to just ring in the drink and ADD a shot of decaf to my order and my bill. When I protested and let them know that I’ve never been charged extra for decaf, they said that they HAD to charge me because they would have to use the espresso machine to make my drink....not my problem what you have to do to make the drink. Just make it and make it right. I canceled my entire order. Don’t know if I will ever go back there. They need some serious training. She end up making only 1 drink and I told her where is my other one and she said it’s too late and she cannot make me another one!
