Update: I've lowered my rating because the wait staff missing things is getting old. I had lunch this week with a friend and they definitely missed the sauces I asked for with my lunch. It was too busy to wait for the server to come back so I just went without so my food wasn't cold. That's frustrating. Today, we ordered to go food and they definitely left one of the sides out. Combine that with apparently I paid $16.75 for a grilled chicken quesadilla with no sides and that stings a lot. The food is definitely really good but I'm probably not planning to return because of these issues and how crowded this place is.

I really like this place. The food is excellent every time. However, there are two detractors for us as a family: 1) this place is too busy. I'm not complaining about the wait for a table but I feel like they try to cram too many people into the restaurant at once and it's pretty uncomfortable. Say no to the high-top tables in the bar. It's also too loud most of the time. 2) For some reason, the wait staff seems to always miss things. I ask for a side of this or a change of that. This happens with both the experienced and inexperienced staff. Because of problem 1, they have too many tables to wait so there is a delay in requesting the fix. It's a bit frustrating and, this last meal, I was almost finished by the time I got what I requested.

So many things to say about this restaurant, and unfortunately none of it is positive. We’ve been to this restaurant on multiple occasions & half the time the food is wrong. Almost always do the waiters forget to check on you & refill your drinks. But on multiple occasions has our waiter just disappeared before the meal was even done & had to wait 10+ minute for a check because who knows where they went. But this last time was really the straw that broke the camels back. Not only did they blame us for the food being wrong, but they also embellished the story to say they asked things that they’ve never asked. So if you like being gaslight by the staff, have wrong food every other time, and have to measure your drink because who knows if you’ll get another.. well this is the restaurant for you. But hey! Do you know what their staff has time to do? They have time to look at themselves in the mirror, fixing their hair.. because why not look good while giving poor service. And they also have time to chit chat with their coworkers. Because who cares that you’re working, clearly this is socializing time. There’s nothing wrong with any of the above, when you take care of the people paying the bill. Sad, we actually had to go find the waiter to let them know things were wrong because he was more worried about himself than the job. Had dinner here last night. A bit busy on a early Saturday evening (6p) but walked right in to 2 seats at the end of the bar. Mateo, greeted us promptly despite appearing to be only one at the bar at the time. The pitcher of Texas Margaritas were very good. The chips were wonderfully thin and crispy. Salsa, queso and guacamole were very good. We ordered a small guacamole and it was much bigger than what most places will bring - see pictures. We had the Texas Triple Fajitas (steak, chicken & shrimp) that was cooked med-rare as ordered, chicken & shrimp were tender and well seasoned. Only got 3 flour tortillas with the order so we had to get extras. Consistently good food and service.

Original review about a year ago: Yes, this is Americanized Mexican food, AKA Tex-Mex. They have a great selection of Margaritas. For something different try the Coconut Margarita, which all 4 of us really liked. The Watermelon Margarita, while good in theory, tasted artificial.
