Traveling lil foodie here!
Staring from the beginning. Easy parking. Walking in then seated right away. Drinks came out fast and so did the appetizers. Dinner came out shortly after our appetizer.
FYI most things come out in disposable plates/cups. If that offends you then go else where. I personally appreciate and love it as someone who got covid then the flu after going to another popular steakhouse chain last year. The tables and well spaced out and no chair bumping or hearing other people's conversations.
For the food... We ordered the alligator tail and it was so tender and delicious for our appetizer. I ordered the miami drink. Sooo good if you like a Pina colada. My husband ordered the long Island ice tea and he was good with just one lol. Soo good. I ordered the snow crab boil dinner. It was soo much food lol. As a seafood snob everything was cooked to perfection nothing was over cooked. My husband ordered the surf and turf and I don't know what seasonings they put on the steak but that was magical. The fried shrimp and grits he got he said it was amazing. The hushpupies were some of the best I've ever tried. It is a semi casual restaurant seafood place with the taste and service of a upscale restaurant. The price might seem a liltlle on the high side but the flavor of love is in the food that justifies it.
The manager did swing by to say hi and to see how we were doing. We both said everything was a 10/10. Our first time there and won't be our last! It's going to be our new spot for sure!! Amazing food. Lovely location with the pond view and none of the hassle of going to the downtown seafood place we were going to before in savannah. ๐ฆ ๐ค ๐ฅฉ ๐ฅ...
ย ย ย Read moreI stayed in the hotel right across the street making this an easy choice. I am so glad it was good so I didn't have to drive after a whole day of driving. Mostly locals from what I could see as the parking lot was filled with pick up trucks. There were large parties seated so I think this is a place you can bring a large number to people to. It seemed recently remodeled. I love seafood but I don't like alaskan king crab. I am more of a blue crab person so I ordered the mahi. This would be an excellent choice for someone who likes King crab. Most tables had this order. There was a hole in the middle of each table to dump the crab legs. Genius! The waitress was extremely attentive and the wait staff in general was very professional but casual. The prices are very high. My fish was so overcooked and for the price I paid I should have had a better experience with it. It came with hush puppies and I ordered the green beans and corn. The corn was the same corn they put in a boil. Just a little mushy nub. I expected a whole ear of corn with some holders or something. I was starved and ate it and I liked it even though I expected a bit more (again, the price). I ordered a mud pie for dessert. They said it was a new item. It was good. Had like a frozen ice cream on the bottom. Seemed like coffee or toffee flavor. Very good. Overall, a recommend when passing through. Great reprieve...
ย ย ย Read moreOverall a good experience. Prices have went up since the remodel quite a bit. The fried oysters needed the grease changed (they were a darker color, almost black, and didn't taste very good.) The catfish and shrimp was done perfectly and was very good. The sausage was just right. The corn on cob was a little old or too young (the kernels were quite small and dried out). The hushpuppirs were as I remember from before the remodel (good but nothing special). The crab stew had a lot of pepper or pepper based seasoning in it (overbearing amount which took over the taste of the diah). On the service side: the greeters done a great job of organizing everyone and getting people seated quickly. The waitress was very attentive and checked on us several times before we ordered and throughout the meal. Gratuity was added before the bill was given for the on site meals and on the separate ticket for to go order (I personally don't agree with gratuity on to go orders since there is really no service to it). The on site meal was $327 including Gratuity of $48. The to go order was $78 including Gratuity of $11. The whole experience was just over an hour between 4 pm and 530 pm on a Saturday. The on site meal was for 5 adults and...
