Waffle House — Restaurant in Georgia

I am a black patron. This would have been my first visit at the Brannon Road location in Cumming, Georgia. I put in a phone order for two breakfast specials. When I arrived I was greeted by one of the workers who in turn had the person who took my order by phone to come over. She stated that my order was ready and all she had to do was ring it up. By then a white patron comes up behind me, and she states that she is going to cash him out first. She never asked if that was ok with me. So I’m left standing there while she rudely takes care of the second customer in line. That’s the worst customer service you can get. I will never, ever return to another Waffle House in any state. I decided to go to McDonald’s for breakfast. I walked out, and nothing was said to me, which was indicative of the type of treatment I had already received. I was on vacation and stopped in here to grab a bite to eat after a concert and well it was just amazing. It was late 1 cook 1 server and they was getting the butts kicked but I decided to wait and I'm glad I did I have never seen 2 people in such a stressful time flow and handled the job like the best in the world. The guy cooking I think his name was Mike OMG guy is an absolute beast on the grill hands down mad respect for you sir the server o can't remember her name I'm very sorry killed it took the orders like a pro never over hurrying the cook are her self everyone got their food fast food taken care of handling the jerks at the table beside me outstanding job I really wish someone would let them know how much they where appreciated this was 9/5/24 at around 11:30 pm 12am I'm pretty sure the cook was Mike these 2 need a bonus a raise something to let them know how...

As a frequent visitor to Waffle House in many states, I always make note of the personnel, cleanliness, food quality in each one. Today, at this particular location I observed a manager named James. He is an excellent team leader. From calling orders, running food, greeting customers, even handling dishes, he had everything running so smoothly. His employees obviously looked up to him and that in itself creates a pleasant environment to have a meal in. Some other locations I've noticed squabbling, unclean and unsafe food handling and laziness, but not this store. This store was 5 star all the way.
