21-Sept-2025: Worst fries ever; wings mid. I give up! 17-June-2024: I go inside to place a to go order. As I'm waiting and prepare my drink, an employee gets on the countertop with her boots on & proceeds to clean the overhead (railed looking "roof" above the counter area). I am in complete disbelief! First, why is this being done during business hours when customers are in & out?! Mind you, this is the same counter they place dine in orders on. So I was happy that this was a to-go order and I was just going to make sure the cashier hands my bag directly in my hands. I don't care if it is in a bag, that is gross! I felt bad for the people dining in. It's not like it was near closing time either - still unacceptable. It was 5pm! A couple others came in. it looked like they were in disbelief, too! I managed to take a quick snapshot. As well I think the other two customers I saw come in did the same (took a pic and/or video). I understand cleaning has to be done but during open hours when serving customers is beyond me for this type of cleaning. When she finished, she goes behind the counter/ starts doing whatever. It was one of the other customers that said something to her (which I think he told or suggested to her to clean down the counter that she just stepped all over in her boots) because after he said whatever, she then sprayed down the counter and wiped it up. This is disgusting and unsanitary. Who knows what was stepped on outside in the boots she wore. Crazy to me but I think I'm done with this place. They're not consistent with food quality anyway. Google says this review was 1 year ago. So sometime in 2023: Zaxby's was on a better streak but as of late, they have been complete misses. The last time I came, it was horrible. Again today, HORRIBLE! So I am rating one star. Barely sauced boneless wings. Barely seasoned fries. One "boneless wing", more like a nugget was super hard and just skin. No meat inside. The last time, again barely sauced wings and toast was barely toasted and I guarantee you, not a speck of butter was on that toast. If their cook(s) would learn the same across the board and stay consistent, it would be a hit. But for now, I'm going back on my hiatus from this location. SMH I just don't get it or understand! Majority of time I use drive thru and don't see my meal until I get home. But I'm tired of giving so many chances. I will say overall the employees are very friendly that I encounter but the food needs major improvements and consistency (in being fresh, well seasoned and sauced). Cmon people! Out of convenience, I be trying. It's less than 5 minutes drive for me. But as stated I'm back to giving this place a break. **Original post (7 years ago!) Hit or miss! They are either very good or not good at all. Too bad there is no consistency with the very good days. But prime example: this past Friday after work, I dropped by there to get the family some dinner before going to the salon. With the 2 wings and things I purchased, the wings were well sauced/wet. One was tongue torch; one was wimpy but they both had a good amount of sauce on them. After my salon visit around 9:30, I decided to get some wings and things for myself - tongue torch. My wings were barely sauced...not to mention barely hot and the fries barely had any seasoning on them. That is another thing: it seems they are scared to season the fries. In any case, for me, it is always a hit or miss! Really a 2.5 rating in my book. Because it is a flip of the coin situation! Update: 11/14 - another miss!!! SMH so done with Zaxbys. Go by tonight...barely sauced tongue torch boneless wings!!! I meant to check before I left but shame on me because I did not. I just can't! Why can you all not be consistent and sauce the freaking wings, every time? And again, barely seasoned fries. 2 stars & I'm being generous. So disappointing! Unfortunately, they are the only conveneient wing spot for me that is open on sundays but I will start making a trip to Wild Wing cafe in Suwanee....
Read moreI came here with my 6-year-old daughter and had one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a restaurant. First I want to say the lady that took our order was very patient and kind.
My daughter ordered a milkshake and loaded fries. The loaded fries container had what looked like dog hair stuck to it. I noticed they didn’t give us forks.
I went back to let them know, and they remade the fries but they barely had toppings, was over-seasoned, and after one bite my throat felt sore and irritated (I have asthma and allergies, so that was concerning).
On top of that, my daughter’s milkshake seemed spoiled. It had chunks in it like sour milk. They replaced it, but after drinking some of the second one, she immediately started complaining of stomach cramps so that one was probably spoiled too.
The staff at the window seem upset and were gossiping, acting like they had an attitude, because of my concerns and the manager seemed polite but her shirt looked dirty and unprofessional.
She even looked at the milkshake and I was like what is that. But Claim the second one couldn’t be spoiled because she’s the one put it out early in the morning.
This was a total health and safety concern. Between the possible dog hair, spoiled milkshakes, poor food quality, and unprofessional staff, I would not recommend this Zaxby’s to anyone. Read moreNo service to anyone using samsung pay??? I went to this location for a quick lunch. I would review the food, but I didn't receive any food. I was graciously greeted by the cashier and I ordered a house salad with grilled chicken. I went to pay as I had many times before at Zaxby's, but was refused and was told that the general manager was next to her and she couldn't accept my payment. The general manager stepped over and said the same thing. I was refused service because I wasn't permitted to pay using a more secure debit card option. I prefer to use Samsung pay over my physical debit card since it requires my finger print to access the card in the phone. Also the card number isn't visible unlike the card in my wallet... anyone could take that card number and use it online. However, the excuse for not taking my payment is that the "debit card is more secure than a mobile payment" says the GM. I would like to have enjoyed a salad from Zaxby's, but this policy is more important to the General Manager than to serve customers. Lousy business decision. I recommend the mobile payment option wherever it can be used including Zaxby's since you can't trust someone else with access to your bank account.
