The Salad Station — Restaurant in Germantown

SHOUT OUT TO The Salad Station - Germantown, TN AND TO THE SWEET OWNER KENDALL W. 🥗 I visited on Thursday on my lunch break for the first time and really enjoyed my visit. As I walked in I was greeted with a friendly/inviting smile and welcome by Kendall, which was so nice. I explained to her that it was my first time there and she was nice enough to explain to me how everything worked. The salad fixings on the salad bar looked so delicious and fresh. I will definitely have to visit again for a salad for my main focus was soup. I've been on a soup kick lately because of the cold weather. I was happy to see they had four soups to choose from for I picked the broccoli cheddar which was pretty good. Lol, I made a small mess trying to pour my soup in the cup for Kendall was so sweet to get me some napkins and help me clean it up. I really Appreciated that! I also choose to the blueberry Lemonade which was good as well and decided to dine in. As I sat enjoying my meal, she had Christian music playing which was so refreshing. One of my favorite songs came on "Jireh, by Elevation Worship/Maverick City "! OH MY GOODNESS what a beautiful time that was, enjoying my meal and worshipping God. Very quiet vibe because not many kids eat salads 😅. I'm joking it's kid friendly. There just weren't any kiddos when I went with my daughter. We love us some salads. They have EVERY TOPPING IMAGINABLE! So many, I had to I celebrate on the inside when I saw the salad bar. There were so many choices that I needed some think time. They chop your salad upon request, so make sure you put enough bc once it's chopped, it doesn't fill the bowl like it did before. Great place for a to-go salad, baked potato's, and soup. All create your own. Flexitarian here, so if you're vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, or like me a flexitarian this is a no-brainer. I made a mediterranian salad with coucous, and it was very filling. My salad was so big it lasted 2 meals. But look now, don't expect 2 meals out of 1 bowl if you can eat a full appetizer and full meal in one sitting...this ain't an all-you-can-eat salad bar, but they do charge by weight. So if you're still not shopping at Target in Germantown, like me, you can go right across the shopping center to Salad Station by Mellow Mushroom and grab a really quick bite to eat. I came in for lunch today, and the young lady chopping the salad was unprofessional. She rinses the bowl from chopping another customer's salad and tries to put my salad in the wet bowl to chop. When I asked her if she could dry the bowl, she said I would use the other. Then I told her I wanted ranch dressing, and she did not add my dressing before. She started chopping when I asked her to add the dressing. She replied, " I'm chopping." The young lady, refilling the salad dressing bottle, started laughing. I asked her to stop chopping and my dressing, and she did. When I got to the register and told the cashier that the young lady at the salad chopping station was rude, she apologized. Still, before I could even exit the store, she went over to the other two young ladies, and they were laughing and discussing my concern. I have only been to this restaurant twice and I don't believe in patronizing businesses with poor...
