Sweeter than SAP — Restaurant in Gettysburg

I am a local food critic with a youtube channel. I have yet to do a filming of this place but I plan to.

But here is a written review of this place.

So let's talk location. Sweeter than sap is located across from the community theater and is in a prime location. I remember back in the day when this used to be a music shop.

You walk in and are greeted with a warm atmosphere of great customer service from the minute the door opens up.

You are then Asked can I help you and take your order.

The bakery items are top quality. I know it may be pricey to some but don't let the price fool you as the food is worth it!

There is only one baker, the owner, and she toils long and hard to bring you the freshest baked goods possible and it shows.

The top selling item, which is my favorite, is the cinnamon roll. Be for warned. It is big enough , as my mom says, to feed a family of 4 easily. It's the side of a small dinner plate.

You take one bite of it and you are in heaven. My favorite way to eat it is cut a piece off, add some butter to a frying pan and cook it lightly on both sides baking it oh so delish. This puts my normal of ye old college diner stickies to shame. I mean I still love them but sweeter than sap is better.

I tried something different this time, a cinnamon cupcake. The cupcake is AMAZING..... I had to get two and just scarfed one down... hands down this is what Gettysburg needed.

If you don't get a cake on time or your worried of price,don't. The food is well worth the price you pay.

I'll keep going back as a local as well as all of my out of town friends.

I forgot the thing that I enjoy the most is I was sitting down eating a cinnamon roll to myself and the girl behind the counter asked if I wanted it microwaved a little bit. I said sure.. that to me is great customer service.

I was visiting Gettysburg and had a craving for something sweet. So of course......Sweeter than SAP! I had never visited this charming little shop but was happy to try out a few of the sweets on display! I couldn't resist the Cinnamon Roll and it was the BEST I have ever had...anywhere! I also tried a little strawberry delight with ripe strawberries and cream and it was also delicious! Everything looked so good and I wish I had purchased a few more items to take home! Delighted to have found this wonderful little bakery! If you are anywhere near Gettysburg be sure to stop by and enjoy some of the many items they offer! UPDATE: I was in Gettysburg again over the weekend and stopped in to get one of the Cinnamon Rolls. Unfortunately, they were out of them. So, I decided to try the eclairs! Now, I have had many eclairs over the years but nothing compared to this delicious treat! The pastry was perfect and the dark chocolate was so good! The best part was the filling! Without a doubt the most delicious creamy filling I have ever enjoyed! It was incredible! Once again I highly recommend...

Wedding Cake Review

Firstly I can’t thank Heather enough for being so informative and caring intently to make sure we got our dream wedding cake! She is the most flexible and hard working coordinator we have came across. They were able to deliver our wedding cake directly to the venue and the set up was absolutely gorgeous! We wanted a basket weave 8 inch 1-tier cake with blue piped flowers on the top and Sara matched my bridesmaid blue PERFECTLY without me even needing to give a fabric sample! The detail in the basket piping was immaculate. I was so blown away by how adorable and picture-perfect my cake was. I was sad to cut it. Sara, the baker is insanely talented and you can see her passion in her work. I love how they can also make a small replica of your wedding cake that you could order for an anniversary, that is the cutest idea ever. Their prices are very reasonable for the quality work they do- we even added 3 dozen cookies to our display. I feel very proud to have been able to support this local/small business for the most special day of my life! Thank...
