The workers were nice but the size and quality of their food is AWFUL. This chain is consistently STINGY no matter what location you go to. It’s a corporate thing, their chicken and shrimp are all undersized and substandard. I swear, it looks like they buy only scraps of meat to supply their restaurants, the shrimp and chicken pieces are really THAT SMALL. You spend an average of $9-$12 per combo meal (which is supposed to be the best value for money) but not at this chain their portion sizes and everything is tiny. Obviously most of it is overcooked because they are using only scraps of shrimp and scraps of chicken so by the time breading is added, there’s hardly any meat. I’m not kidding…THEIR POPCORN SHRIMP ARE HORRIBLE. They were breaded and tiny, so small the kind someone would put on a salad for a topping, most croutons are bigger than these shrimp in fact they were only about a 1/2 inch long. This meal costs $9 and you get a little cup of these overcooked tiny shrimp, a VERY SMALL AMOUNT OF FRIES, a horrible dry biscuit and a small soda. By the time they add tax, you paid $10 for what is basically a child’s meal. These are things that are NOT the employees fault at all however as the employees can only work with the product they are given. So its Popeyes corporate being CHEAP and not supplying adequate pieces of meat and trying to cut corners by using scraps and charging sky high prices for tiny pieces of food that are barely large enough to sustain a small child’s appetite and is bound to disappoint the average adult with a normal appetite. This is the second time in 2 years that I got ripped off by Popeyes and they won’t get a third chance with me....
Read moreMy colleague and I went to Popeyes at 6:45PM, hoping to get that amazing chicken that we dearly love. We arrived to find four customers in front of us. One of them had not even placed their order and after 10 minutes the clerk acknowledged that people wanted to place their order. My colleague and I committed to waiting it out and after 15 minutes we were able to place our order as online and drive-through orders were handled first. In placing our order, we wanted Cajun rice, which is on the menu, but they didn’t have it. We also wanted some honey for our biscuit, but they didn’t have it. I wanted sweet tea to drink, but it was out. I opted for Sprite, but the carbonation was out. After letting the manager know, the sweet tea was out and the carbonation was out of the soda machine. She came to get the tea container to make more tea. At most Popeyes, they have a second container in the back that is filling up so they only have to swap out the container, but they had not done that at this location. She did nothing to resolve the issue with the soda machine. After finishing my entire meal, I went back to ask for some sweet tea, which still was not complete. One sip of the tea and it was a clear indicator that it had not been properly prepared. The chicken we had tasted great, but the wings were very small. My partner enjoyed the jalapeños and I enjoyed my red beans and rice. The food is pretty consistently good at Popeyes. From this visit, it is quite evident that this location is not prepared for people to come to enjoy the great Popeyes chicken. Store leadership needs to look at this crew and see what they can do to help them be successful...
Read more5 stars because the manager, Joaquin, saved the situation. I would have given 1 star. I was in drive thru line about 7 cars ahead of me. Once you're in the drive thru at this location - your stuck - there's a wall that curves around their drive thru. The line was not moving. After about 10 mins there were now about 5 cars behind me and 6 cars ahead of me still. After almost 15 mins I finally get to the speaker to order and an assistant manager named Sabrina tells me their credit card machine is down and they're only taking cash. I said can I wrote a check? No they have no way of accepting a check. (Of course, I had no cash) Since there's a wall around the drive thru - I'm stuck! Can't get out of the line! Sabrina did not offer anything to me to rectify the situation. Just- sorry ma'am. Have a nice day. After 4 more cars pulled thru, and I finally got to the window, I asked the nice, helpful young man at the window for his manager's name. He told me to wait and he came back with Joaquin. Joaquin apologized, for not having a sign before the driver entered the drive thru lane advising them of the "cash only" situation. He'd just arrived at there and sent an employee out to let people know. Sabrina offered no solutions, was condescending and rude. Joaquin offered me a very acceptable solution. Thank you Joaquin! Please train your managers to know what to do for customers in situations like this. Maybe the nice young man at the window would be good management material! Sabrina needs...
