L&L Hawaiian Barbecue — Restaurant in Gilroy

I haven’t had LnL in years, but wanted something quick. I went to pick up my order and the cashier chick was looking down at her register counting money, so I just waited until she was done. Then she awkwardly just stares at me and says nothing to the point I have to say, oh sorry are you ready, I thought you were counting? She replies yes, as if she was waiting for me the whole time. She clearly hates her job and you can tell by looking at her face. The chicken sucked. Was overly cooked and hard to chew. Kids fries were horrible. The Mac salad was just all mayo and not even cold. Place looks messy bunch of hanging paper signs with food options and some paper covering prices and food items. I will never...

The cashier lady was a bit rude, I paid like $75 an some change an got a fountain drink thinking they had sprite or Sierra mist or something an they did not, so i tried root beer, I don't drink anything but that or water, asked her how much the bottled 7 up soda was an she told me was the same in price so I asked if I could exchange for that and leave my cup or throw it away an she said no we don't do that. And I left a tip before I got food or service wishing I hadn't at that point. Will not be coming back here when visiting my family in Gilroy. Also I've worked In restaurants and ordered the cases of syrup for the soda an its pennies on the dollar so makes no sense, bay...

You can't go wrong with L&L. There is nothing else like it here in town. Order ahead, order in store or have it delivered. They never get your order wrong. Everything is cooked when you order it, not sitting around for hours. I can't figure it out, but whatever they put in their Mac salad makes it so tasty. Good sized servings. Great customer service. It's always on point. Don't forget to sign up for their loyalty program. Not only is the food great, they give some of it to you for free when you are a rewards member. Doesn't get any better.
