Looking for an interesting sandwich on a Sunday I see that goodfellas is highly rated so I take a shot. Sandwiches were just coming off the grill when I get there. Am I going to wait to get home to eat this 38 minutes away? Lol…absolutely not.

The New York Reuben was toasted nicely on rye and piled high with pastrami and Swiss with a nice ratio of 1000 island and what looks and tastes absolutely like homemade fresh slaw. Sandwich was a bit messy due to the ingredients being so generously present. One minor nitpick was the sandwich wasn’t cut in half but other than that, very tasty.

Next up, the fat roast, which I can only assume is the juicer and more flavor counterpart to the regular beef roast. Now this, ladies and gentlemen, is a sandwich. You can tell a sandwich shops worth by showing up on a Sunday to see if their rolls are fresh and delivered from that morning. Let me just say the sandwich role on the fat roast, was sublime. It’s a messy sandwich to being with, with juices from the roast covered and dripping out, you need the perfect role to hold up. This role held together this monstrosity of deliciousness perfectly.

Succulent, flavorful beef, gooey sharp provolone, garlic tinged broccoli rabe, roasted red peppers and long hots with just the perfect amount of heat. This sandwich is so balanced and cohesive it’s a flipping masterpiece. It’s huge as well. I couldn’t bring myself to put it down despite my fullness after the first half. The windows in my car were steamed up, my brow was covered in sweat but my tastebuds wanted more. I don’t know how I found the courage to continue but I took down the beast without guilt. Thank goodness I grabbed a few napkins in the store because I needed all of them.

Made the drive from northern Delaware with my wife today so she could try Goodfellas. I found another gel on this menu, the loaded tots. Wothout wiestion some of the best tots we’ve both ever had. You get a load of tots with perfectly cooked bacon, cheese ranch and sea salt. Can’t beat it for 7.99. Absolutely delicious, why are you still reading this? Go out and get yourself an order...

As someone who worked in an authentic Italian-American deli for years in my youth, I have pretty high standards for not only the food but also the cleanliness and friendliness of a place. Goodfella's gets five stars from me. I can't imagine that my family and I live within minutes of this deli, but we have only just now discovered them! Our first visit was in late September of 2023, and in under two months, we've gotten takeout from them five times! I waited to write this review just to be sure we didn't have a fantastic fluke the first time, but by five visits, having now sampled much of their menu - pastrami, corned beef, hot roast beef, chicken cutlets, meatballs, WINGS, and more - I can honestly say we haven't had one "bad" thing yet! The sandwiches are REAL DEAL and packed with meat and flavor. Don't sleep on the wings, either. As someone who used to drive almost an hour to get "the best" wings in SJ, I am thrilled because I won't have to anymore. Goodfella's wings are THAT good! They come naked, and we chose the hot and honey sauce on the side. Absolutely mouthwatering! Same with the roast beef. I won't have to cross the bridge to go to Nick's anymore, unless I'm feeling nostalgic, because they roast their beef and pork for five hours and it's absolutely melt in your mouth delicious. Besides having a varied menu, they also carry a nice selection of hard to find drinks. My husband rarely comes back without bringing me a Peace Tea, Vanilla Cream, or Black Cherry soda. The ladies who answer the phone are great, too. They take our sometimes complicated orders with a pleasant attitude, and they've never made a mistake! We really have found a gem with...

This deli has it all! I couldn't really think of another way to begin my review, I've been there 3 days in a row now to try and get a taste of everything I wanted. I couldn't in all honesty give this less than 5 stars. Let's start with the customer service, both gentlemen and the last chef were all very friendly! On the phone and in house they were polite and welcoming. It's a small little shop on a busy little corner, but don't let that fool you. The food was all fantastic!

I ordered...a cheese steak, a meatball sandwich, a cheese burger, and chicken tenders. All of them were great! The burger was fresh, roll was toasted how I like it. The cheese steak, was delicious. The chicken tenders weren't anything special but still, some right and tasted good. Where it really pushed through for me was in the fries! Easily the best, traditional fries in town, and I've eaten them all... Literally.

However, the MVP of it all... The meatball sandwich. This isn't "a few meatballs and some bread" we are talking a solid 5-7 good size meatballs, cut into smaller bite size pieces that filled the roll. I wish the roll was toasted... But I was not disappointed, as EVERY bite had meatball to accompany the bread. Also not a fan of when meatballs and sauce leave you tremendous heartburn? I've got nothing! Which compared to the 5 or 6 other places I've tried leave me feeling horrible afterwards.

The one thing I really want to hit home, and the thing that will really sell this place to a lot of people, is the price. You can't beat it. In township, there are MANY places to get a sub or a burger or anything... This place is low in cost and...
