It’s been a few months since I posted this review, and I wanted to take a moment to update it with my recent visits. The founder and proprietor, Olaf, welcomes you to his coffee shop with fluffy greeting pillows in the lounge area, and with hand-sewn seasonal tablecloths (from his mother) donned by his patio tables.
This Fall, I’ve really enjoyed their Pumpkin Spice Latte. Luxurious vanilla teams up with warm nutmeg and spicy cinnamon to bring you Autumn in a mug. Its fresh ingredients and endearing personality will relax any busy morning, and liven up any lazy afternoon.
We've enjoyed so many delicious drinks and indulgent treats, always with warm, friendly service. Please see the photos I've added (I ran out of space to write more!). Thank you!
ORIGINAL: My first visit to Brick Road Coffee was such a memorable one! The storefront and patio were clean, decorated, and welcoming, and the phone booth adds a lot of personality. There were four spacious rooms, with tables and chairs. At the counter, you’ll see a menu board for lunch, smoothies, breakfast, desserts, and coffee beverages (both iced and hot). Behind you, there are bags of coffee and tea for home brewing.
The proprietor, Olaf, greeted us. He told us a little about his coffee shop, and his map for patrons to leave a pin indicating where they’re from. Brick Road Coffee is Olaf's dream and passion, and he was so clearly touched that others found his coffee house so welcoming and his goods so tempting. A humble person, be sure to say hello to him when you visit.
Customer service was excellent. The employees greeted us kindly and attentively, and commented on how they usually have more baked goods (it was about an hour before closing time). We were impressed to see some empty spots, as those were treats well enjoyed. My husband and I ordered the cinnamon rolls, coffee, and apple juice.
Brick Road Coffee beans are well cared for, and brewed to perfection. I knew I was ordering a quality brew, and so I didn’t add anything to my coffee. This cup was hot, fresh, and clearly brewed with carefully selected water, as it had zero aftertaste and a clear flavor profile. Even at the end of the day, this coffee was not the least bit burnt, scalded, or stale. Its acidity brightened my day and its bitterness was so satisfying! Truly, these beans are handled with care during roasting, brewing, and serving.
Google championed these cinnamon buns above all others in local coffee shops. Why? They're huge, fresh daily, served warm with a drizzle of gooey frosting. The crust was slightly crispy, with a chewy, light inside, baked with butter. The sweet, sticky cinnamon dust through the folds and spirals of this roll were perfectly harmonized in flavor and level of sweetness. The vanilla in the frosting complemented the cinnamon so well, offering a warm creaminess all over.
On our second visit, I ordered the decadent white chocolate mocha latte - iced on a hot day! What a celebration of indulgent white chocolate notes, fresh roasted espresso beans, and decadent frothed milk. I usually drink my iced lattes too quickly because they're so sweet, but this iced latte is an experience, not just a fix. I want to both linger over this latte like a fine wine, and I want to indulge shamelessly because it's so good I don't believe it.
It’s hard to miss this red and yellow building off Shrader Road, and you won’t want to. Everything was clean, and well-kept, including the bathroom. Everything was stocked and in its place. There’s a tip jar for cash tips, or you may leave tips on your card as well.
Brick Road Coffee is my new favorite local coffee spot. Bringing friends and family here for coffee and lunch is a great idea for catching up. Don’t forget to have dessert, too. With ample seating and free wifi (password at the register, to your right when you pay), I'm sure to be back with my laptop to work - indoors, or...
Read moreI recently came to Brick Road Coffee Company with my father as the two of us have gotten tired of coffee places with overpriced yet mediocre coffee and food. Brick Road Coffee Company surprised me with its chill, comforting atmosphere and kind and welcoming staff. Not only are the staff kind, but the other customers are, too. The food and drink are worth the money as they are high quality and delicious. I highly recommend the chicken biscuit as well as the iced coffees. Kudos to the owner and staff! I will be coming here often.
EDIT: As of July 2025, after just visiting Brick Road Coffee, despite years of being a customer, this will be my last time coming. I have noticed the decline in quality and service over the past 2 years of buying my drinks and food here.
This morning, I visited and asked if I could have a caramel macchiato, to which the employee told me, "We can't do it like Starbucks, I can make a latte though." What type of cafe can't make a macchiato? Who says I wanted Starbucks? Wawa can make a premium drink for under 6 dollars with exceptional customer service, unlike here.
I decided to order a smoothie and two biscuits, which ended up being $23. My biscuit was burnt and inedible, and I asked for regular honey and received spicy honey. I have had chicken biscuits in the past here. When did you start using nuggets instead of a chicken breast? It's unsatisfactory and incredibly disappointing. I wasted my money and time today and headed straight to Wawa, where I was treated with exemplary service and food. If a gas station is doing better than your cafe, there's an issue. I really am sad. The food and drinks here were once quite good. It's a...
Read moreSooo pricey!!! 2 lunch sandwiches and 2 coffees cost almost $40 with tip! They asked if I wanted chips. I said sure. I didn't know they'd charge me $2 for a small bag! They also got my order wrong and redid it with the right type of meat, but burned the edges of the bread! The cheese was slabs of cheddar but not melted when this was supposed to be a Panini. I could make a better sandwich at home! Save your money and get twice as much food at Panera.

Yes, the sandwich was remade, but worse. From the pictures, do you really think it's better quality? I don't care if the bread was the highest quality. If it's burnt, it's no good. As for what was in between the bread, it was nothing more than barely melted cheese, undercooked bacon and some apple slices. If you want to call the truth an attack, go ahead. Hate to see the sandwich remade a 3rd time.
Now the coffees were ok, but for upcharging for pumpkin syrup making it more expensive than Starbucks and doesn't taste as good? Oh and an Americano is a specialty drink? No.
Your atmosphere is great with the shipping container theme, but your food is too hyped-up. Do you have the baked goods made on the premises or muffins from Costco.
2 out of the 3 staff are nice. I'm sure from the other negative reviews about service, you can figure out who it is. Unfortunately, she was definitely not up front on pricing with the added extras. Never stated additional pricing at all. Not to mention she was signed-in under another employee's name. Now is that for training...
