I walk here from Lowes to get some food, normal so far yeah.
Well I wouldn’t always go to Subway because I don’t like all the choices you have to make. Much to my surprise, they’ve changed a little since and now have many more interesting baseline sandwiches so I don’t have to decide. Win number 1.
The guy taking my order is an absolute legend. He banters with me as I go down the line. I know some people don’t want that, but if people say that, that’s a red flag and you shouldn’t trust their review. Win number 2.
I’m an SIUE student. #rollcougs #SIUESchoolofBusiness They have a 15% student discount. Most places only have 10%. That 5% adds up over time, I’m an Econ major so I know, and I learned at SIUE so you can trust me. Win number 3.
So you buy your footlong and go to sit down. You pass the cooler of drinks and see vitamin water. It reminds you of when you were a child and you kind of want it but you know that the coolers in places are always more expensive than anywhere else so you practice self control, a shame though right? Psych! They have vitamin water in the fountain drink machine and it’s the same price as any other drink. Win number 4.
I’ve been sitting here in the booth writing this and at least 4 or 5 songs have played over the radio. Guess what? All of them bangers. Win number 5.
5 wins = 5 stars. Go to Subway. Glen Carbon hire me for your...
Read moreI ordered 2 subway melts and they were delivered to me cut in half, with no wrapper, in a small paper lunch bag with sauce everywhere. I called in to inquire and was told "that is how the melt comes" yet every other subway I called (5 stores) said that they come in the normal wrapper. The wrapper that usually goes around the sandwich in the wrapper was not even there. Absolutely unacceptable to pay $10 for a sandwich to be treated that way. Also this location, for some reason, feels it is too good to offer NATIONAL offers such as the buy one get one 50% off. I am also the owner of a Franchise (not subway) and if I told my customers that we would not honor a national offer - I would expect them to go somewhere that would . The offers are in place to get people to come to your store and spend their money. Telling them no will just send them to other stores. Which may not be a bad thing in this particular stores case. Never once have I had good service at...
Read moreThere were a few customers eating when we came in but no one in line. Neither employee acknowledged us. One went to the back and one started making a sandwich, I’m guessing for DoorDash or something. Some time went by as we stood there watching the gentleman make other food. I eventually told my kid, “we’ll just eat at home.” After we turned to walk out, the gentleman said, “Are you ready, sir?” I’m sure he wasn’t trying to be rude, but this question implies he was waiting for me and not the other way around. I thanked him anyway and we left. The service at the Troy location was...
