I am just returning (6/8/2021) from a visit to my area Chipotle restaurant where I had a very negative and embarrassing experience. This experience was exaggerated by the "Restaurateur" (for that location) that either knows limited English or has issues communicating with fluent English speakers. I mention that because it is important, as she became upset when she tried to explain her version of the restaurant's policy. Luckily, I speak a bit of Spanish and I was able to communicate more effectively in Spanish with her than in English (this should not have been the case).
The issue, there is a sign posted outside of the restaurant and inside near the order station, see attached pictures. The sign clearly states "thanks for wearing your mask if you're not vaccinated". It goes on to explain the CDC's policy as it relates to vaccinated individuals. Based on this information (posting), I entered the restaurant without a mask. I attempted to place my order and the employee at the first station asked me to put on a mask. I advised him that his request is contrary to the establishment's posting. He directed me to his manager because he was following her directions. I subsequently spoke with Ms. Dilcia Cruz-Benitez, initially I asked her why I was required to wear a mask. After me repeating my question several times, and her saying what several times, I knew there was a communication issue. Eventually she explained (in Spanish) that customers had to wear masks while ordering, but didn't need masks in the dining area. I explained that the posted signage did not indicate that (so I had to go by her word). I also explained that the "rule" should be clearly posted. She also was misinformed about the mask policy/mandates for the area/jurisdiction of the store she manages.
She indicated that Prince George's County, MD still required masks (for vaccinated individuals), please see link with effective date of Friday, May 28, 2021, at 5:00 p.m. If this was true it would directly conflict the posted store signage. She ultimately stated, it's her store and her rules (not in those specific words). I resigned my opinion and decided to file a complaint. I know this issue is just as exhausting as the COVID Pandemic, but training is so important and having "leaders" that are either misinformed or undertrained leads to unnecessary negative interactions that only...
Read moreFirst time visiting this location and the food was good and employees were very nice but a woman decided to change her toddlers diaper ON A DINING ROOM TABLE, while me and my sister were winding down our dinner and other customers were in the restaurant. She didn’t even look to see if there were bathrooms (there are). I feel like the people behind the counter didn’t see it happening, only because I hate to think they would ignore something so UNSANITARY. But that’s why there should always be someone tending to the dining room floor, because that woman definitely should’ve been checked. As a patron I didn’t feel comfortable doing so because anyone that entitled is liable to make a scene, especially if they can flip it into you “victimizing” their child (even though it’s them, the parents being disgusting). I tried to leave and call the restaurant to inform them to at least do a thorough clean of the table and general area but the automatic voiceover wouldn’t accept anything I said to push me to customer service or leave a message. Another issue is Chipotle’s automatic voice and online customer service systems. They never work correctly for me and it’s impossible to get things corrected through them. If they would’ve just let me call, I wouldn’t have to leave a comment on a public forum about DIRTY DIAPERS BEING CHANGED WHERE PEOPLE SIT...
Read moreChipotle at Woodmore Center is a great location for the Chipotle store. It’s surrounded with all kind of stores and other food options. I believe it’s like an outside shopping mall.
The food is just like any other Chipotle out there. Nothing really special, just something healthy to eat when you are working out or just want something healthy in general but I do highly recommend chipotle to anyone. My favorite food there is the Al Pastor Chicken. It’s so good and with the chicken has a little spice at the end of the taste. Very delicious!
The customer service is good but not the best. The employees mostly do their best at trying to help the customers but a lot of the customers are kinda rude to them. Well the times I go in there anyways. The employees are nice but you can tell they get really are tired and don’t look like they want to be there but that’s mostly everywhere these days so I understand.
The lines can get kinda long in there which is because of the location that the store is located. Make sure to order ahead on the app for you don’t have to wait in line!
The store is really clean but at the end of the the business hours, it can get a little dirty. The juice is alway empty and not refill around 8:30pm time which kinda sucks when you want the juice. Highly recommend going a little early for you won’t have any...
