My daughter and I wanted a cold drink following a doctor's appointment and decided to stop in and get blended bobas. I ordered a piña colada with tapioca and she ordered mango lychee with lychee jelly. While the art and decor is beautiful, I would have preferred to not have so much time to admire it as it took forever to get our drinks, with not a single other customer in the restaurant. When we finally did get our drinks, they were a more creamy than blended smoothie type consistency, my tapioca was a mushier texture than I have ever received before and my daughter’s lychee jelly was coconut/ lychee, which is not her favorite flavor and thank goodness she isn't allergic! After spending almost $20 on two bobas and tip, I would've expected quicker service or at least an explanation or apology for our lengthy wait- fulfilling a catering order, need to make new tapioca pearls (I don't think this was the case because my tapioca was not warm) or just... something. Read moreWe were supposed to meet with my friends and family at Hangry Joe’s for what would have been our second visit, but their food ordering portal was down. We waited for a few minutes, but no one acknowledged us, so we decided to leave and try Buns On Fire for the first time.
As soon as we arrived at Buns On Fire, we were immediately greeted and taken care of! Unfortunately, I couldn’t take photos last night. Even though I live in the area, this was my first time visiting Buns On Fire. We stopped for a quick dinner with the family after a long, tiring day, and we were starving. We ordered the WTF, a chicken sandwich, wings, and fried chicken loaded fries.
I’d rate the service and warm welcome a 5/5, and the food was also a 5/5. The prices were reasonable, similar to other places. The restaurant was exceptionally clean, unlike some fast-food spots where the tables can be sticky.

Read moreOK. This is not about writing a bad review but a bad customer experience. When you google Buns on Fire Buffalo Grove and click their website and then click order now it takes you to the Glendale heights location automatically. Unbeknownst I placed my order bc I clicked the Buffalo Grove website. I get to Buffalo grove to find out the order is at the Glendale Heights location. I called and asked for a refund or at least could they remake the order as it would be a 45 minute drive. The man was not willing to make the order over even if I drove the 45 minutes. Basically I asked multiple ways to fix the issue and it was a Hard NO. I explain if you go to the website it directs you automatically to Glendale. However, I'm a Muslimah and I end up saying give it away to someone else. (Month of Ramadan so why not) Again work with your customers especially ones that support you over the last year. #Be careful ordering...
