Man oh man is this place good or what??! I continue to be surprised this place exists in the west suburbs and not in Argyle. They have amazing pho that will satisfy your craving and then more! The beef broth is soo flavorful and is delightful to the pallet. And the amount of meat is generous! Make sure you get the one with a lot of meat with meatballs (forgot which #). But the meat is tender and great, but was disappointed I didn't get my favor cut which is the tendon but they have me extra meat on top of it. Pho just has an amazing flavor that incorporates all different textures in one soup. You get raw bean sprouts, basil leaves, limes, and those awesome very hot peppers to put into your soup. All this combines into a wonderful flavorful noodle soup that is out of this world.
If you love meat like me, and you like texture along with good noodles then this is exactly what you have been dreaming of!
And this place has other things up its sleeve! Check out the sandwiches! Oh man good price for a dang good sandwich! Do not underestimate the Vietnamese sandwich. They combine and master the different textures and flavors into a sandwich as well. So get that grilled flavorful pork sandwich or their house which has three slices of meat; either or you will not be disappointed.
Also I had the pork chop which i was skeptical since they said I'd only get one. But was craving it and it came out to be the size of my face. So this was one big pork chop. It was pretty good, a little dry but dipping into the sweet fish sauce made it delicious.
Either or if you are in the mood for Vietnamese food in the burbs then look no further! This holds its own...
Read moreWent here because I was craving pho and body sandwich. I looked and Googled places near my work up in Addison . Start off with the first thing I had. The Banh Mi Sandwich 101 classic was fire! Was nice and warm. Classic Viet sandwich and it hit the spot! I was so good!!! I highly recommend if you never had a sandwich to try this one. I'll have to try their other one next time.
The main dish was pho! I love this Vietnamese noodle soup! You can smell the amazing aroma of the soup was perfect. All I had to do was add the provided veggies. The sliced beef was good, bit more cooked than what I'm used to, but very good none the less. The meatballs that are in this pho is also amazing! They are pretty big and they give you a pretty good portion of it. I recommend you get those if you order the pho. I only gave 4 stars is because one ingredient/ topping missing that I like to have is the fried peppers and garlic infused with oil. Maybe being picky, I wish they had that, maybe they did and had to request.
The service was very good! Place was very clean, it's a smaller size restaurant, but it had enough room that you were not elbow to elbow. They have a good variety on their menu.
If you are in the area, worth the stop for some good food! Man, I'm still thinking about that banh mi sandwich. Very good,...
Read moreI'm meeting a friend here because he's never had Vietnamese food. I've gone here before and thought it was good.
It's a small mom and pop restaurant with a laid-back vibe and nothing to brag about, yet it has everything I need to enjoy my meal.
We tried the cha gio tom (001), which is a four-piece shrimp egg roll served with a side of fish sauce. The outside is crispy, but I'm not a fan of the stuffing, which was scarce.
My main course I had pho dac biet (202) which was basically a house special. The broth was light and clear, but it had a strong beef flavor; Rice noodles that are firm and chewy. The brisket, tendon, and meatball are all extremely tender.
I also ordered banh mi thit nuong (102) to go with my pho. The baguette was well toasted and flaky. The pork is flavorful and has a wonderful char grilled scent. The ingredients are fresh, and it complements the sandwich perfectly.
It's an enjoyable comfort food that hits the spot, and I'm pleased to hear my friend liked it; I know he appreciates Vietnamese cuisine...
