Ana's Kitchen — Restaurant in Glendale

Revised, sometime in February, 2022:

I am and have tried always to be a simple man, who appreciates the blessing of a good meal. But nothing -- NOTHING -- could prepare me today for the flavor outburst of Ana's Special: The Killer Enchiladas!

It began innocently enough. As I perused the take-out menu, I saw my favorite Enchiladas Verdes again, and without fanfare quietly placed an order. But the hostess suggested the enchilada special, and said it was really good. There was an uncommon passion in her voice that brought me up sharp. I paused. So I deferred and ordered the special instead.

Indeed, the suspense built as I waited for my meal, pray tell someone advise please, what in the world did I just order? WHAT HAVE I DONE?

But in time was I ever surprised, wondering if my eyes would pop out at the sight! As my order was revealed, 'twas a meal fit for a King or other regalian: Proudly arrayed before me were two huge enchiladas PACKED with tender, juicy shrimp, with more shrimp sprinkled on top. Beans, rice, garnish, avocado, and dressing filled out this fantasy feast, and I could not wait to get started. And it did not disappoint! Indeed, every bite was an excursion into the highest plateaus of culinary luxury, a place of excellence to which, as a simple man, I am not accustomed to go nor do I normally seek out. But go I went today this day, and that's for sure! Every bite went down smooth, REALLY smooth, smooth as the silk of a spider's newly spun web. No burps, gasps, or groans, no need to loosen the belt!

As someone who knows that he must stand before God one day and probably will not like the results of the admission process (no one wants to come back as a bug, and believe you me this writer is no exception!), I finished this feast in pleasant surprise, marveling in a curious kind of disbelief what I had done to deserve such a reward this day. I daresay this, that this was the finest -- the FINEST

I'm the type of person who likes to get their money worth when i buy food. Im ususlly not picky, but when i came to eat here there was an unsual taste. I ordered the enchilada plate and i think the taste came from the beans because there was like a nasty after taste. I usually box my food home, but i didn't even want to do that. My friend told me she had the same issue, a weird after taste. The agua de limon tasted like if it was hot and they just poured ice cups right away to make it cold again. My wife and I come here every once in a while when neither of us feel like cooking and it's already lunch time. I like the chilaquiles and the cile Colorado, while my wife usually gets the huevos rancheros. They also have one of the most firm flan that I've ever had, which makes it my favorite!
