Dave's On Broadway — Restaurant in Glendale

I've been coming to this bar for about 5 years. When I first started coming here, it was a life saver to me. I was new to California. I met many local amazing musicians. In the past, Dave's offered live entertainment, open mic nights and karaoke. I sang with bands and was blessed to sing on a couple different albums.

I have mixed feelings now about coming here. It's extremely convenient for me but several visits to karaoke has left me with a feeling of disappointment and emptiness. I know that late in the night, the bar gets new young blood and they want to cater to them, but when I arrive at 11:00 with only a few names on the list, buy a couple, three drinks and get to sing one song around 1:00 a.m., I feel I have wasted money and time.

Tonight, I heard a couple other people complaining similar stories. Maybe Dave's doesn't need the neighborhood standbys anymore. I certainly don't see the regular faces I use to see.

The place looks fantastic! Haven't been there since before Covid The change is fantastic! And they didn't get rid of the pool table Thank you! We went in on Sunday free pool day Yay! But unfortunately apparently Sunday is football and even though there were only 2 other folks in there not interested in the game it had to go on the TV all music stopped and everything just dropped no more music no fun. We finished our game and left along with one of 2 folks at the bar. I was having such a great time! And would have stayed but not interested in hearing the football game full blast. The daytime Bartender Sarah was very pleasant, although the bartender who has been there the longest has turned into a nasty gossip and talked about her boss and other customers in a knifing way. When a girls drink was tampered with and her credit card was lifted, the bartender became a two faced coward and told the girl she would have to leave and threatened to call the police on her, instead of helping the girl find her card and merely replacing her drink. .. shameful behaviour. New threatening ownership perhaps? Clientele intimidation?...
