This is an interesting shop in Glendale that sells a variety of somewhat unique items. The purpose of my visit was to purchase a La Bien ornament to add to my collection, but I did take the time to look at rest of the store.
Included in the inventory are clothes, jewelry, spa and personal care products, furniture, wine glasses, dishes, Chemex coffee pots, wine and cocktail glasses, chocolate, wine.
There is a children's section with books, including an instruction manual on how to cultivate the activist in your child. I was pleased to see a section of books that featured strong women - several books on Ruth Gader Ginsburg (and bobblehead), Angela Davis and several other well known inspirational women.
This store has a good vibe and is in great location within this shopping center. It reminds me of Pier 1 Imports in 1970s-1980s - there are products from around the globe, so it has an appeal for somewhat unique products.
There is in store shopping at this time, but you must wear a mask. They do not offer curbside service, but you can pick up items from online purchases at Customer Service desk.
This is a very congested and busy shopping center. There is free underground parking that you can enter at Ralph's, but there is also free above ground parking if you are patient. Handicapped spaces are limited above ground, more spaces are in underground garage.
Not overly impressed with quality of merchandise, but I did enjoy seeing the variety of items. Not sure if I would...
Read moreI love this place. In efforts to not be another zombie running from place to place, walking into Working Market is always a treat. The biggest surprise is it is inexpensive. I dare say even comparable to your local retailers. When ever I visit a specialty type store for furniture, food, dishes, jewelry, etc, in Los Angeles I've learned to expect top dollar prices. This place not only takes you around the world but it gives you great discounts. Today I applied my Members 15% discount on top of a major promo sale that landed me major savings. This is one of many visits that has had me thoroughly surprised. And the items I purchased were(as usual) items that you don't find in other stores. Not only do I find myself purchasing items from other countries but many times I have found retro or other era type items that made a perfect gift. Lastly, I purchased my office desk at a World Market and the manager knocked off a major chunk of change due to a small scratch that I easily buffed out. I have had nothing but positive experiences there and I am looking forward...
Read moreI visited your Glendale store on 04/27 at 10:39 AM and attempted to use the 25% off coupon that was advertised on your website. The promotion stated it would end today; however, I was unable to apply it at checkout.
I asked your staff member, "Lilly," for assistance. Instead of helping, she did not apply the discount and was extremely rude when I asked her to guide me through the process. She seemed upset that I was simply trying to use the coupon and refused to assist me further. It is concerning that a customer is made to feel at fault for trying to redeem an offer your store publicly promoted.
When I asked to speak with a manager, she told me he/she was on a break and that it would be a while. She then rudely asked me to step aside so she could help other customers. While I was waiting, Lilly proceeded to complain about me to the next customer in line, which was both unprofessional and completely unacceptable.
This behavior must be addressed. I expect a follow-up on how this matter...
