I want to preface this by saying I DO NOT believe the customer is always right. There's a lot of nutthead customers out there. I myself have worked on and off many different services positions since high school. So off and on for about 35 yrs. In fact my last service job dealing with hostile and down right rude customers has made me realize I'm never doing customer service again. With that said there still has to be a little quid pro quo btwn customer and worker. I have been in this particular Einsteins about 3 or 4 times now over about the last month or so and I gotta tell you after going in there today I'm not going back to this location again. The 3 or 4 girls that work there behind the counter are just blatantly rude and done even acknowledge you when your standing in front of the bagel case waiting to order. No "hi" or we'll be right with you. Nothing. Today I was standing there and one of the girls walks about and she's facing me putting a box together as if she's going to crab a dozen bagels for someone. And she just stands there. Not acknowledging Mr. Yet facing me. No eye contact nothing. Blatantly ignoring me. I finally said Hi. And she said. Oh you have to order down there pointing to her right. I was standing where it said on a sign "order here" which I said to her. It wasn't until then that she told me that reg wasn't working. My point is all she had to do was say hi. By the way this reg isn't working she can help you down there. Simple. Just an acknowledgment. And the other girls standing behind her knew I as there as well. Again ZERO acknowledgment. This happen to the two ladies that came in after me as well. In fact I'M THE ONE that told them they had to order at the other register because they were being ignored as well. When I mentioned my concern about this to the girl taking the order she started to argue with me about it. Passed me right off. Have to admit I became a little bit of a Karen there. I know this is a novel at this point. But after this being the 3rd or 4th time being treated this way at THIS PARTICULAR location. Screw I'll drive all the way down to 59th and thunderbird. They are much nicer. Not using this location again. Just...
Read moreUpdate: Corporate responded with the usual blow off statement and a link for me to contact them. They still have not promised any changes to the store. My review is now worse. Good luck. ———— Original post below: Corporate is responding to the negative reviews but not doing anything to solve the problems. This location is horrible. The atmosphere is so dirty, it makes one question if the place is actually open for business. There are multitudes of ripped stickers on the entrance doors. So much so that it appears as if the store was gutted for remodel or going out of business. When you walk in, it’s warm and musty. I ordered my food and got a small beverage and as I went to the soda machine, there was no ice. I had warm soda. All the tables were dirty. The staff made my food and didn’t bother to restock or clean. Instead, they went into the back to converse. The vents on the coolers that hold the apple juices and other bottled drinks are dusty and the ceiling looks like it went through a few storms and no one has ever attended to the leaks.
I gave this place a chance last year, had the same opinion as I did today. Nothing has changed. It’s deplorable.
Corporate or management, please don’t bother responding to my comment. My advice is the take ACTION in the store and stop typing you phony responses to legitimate concerns/complaints without doing the work to resolve these issues.
That store needs...
Read moreThere's several things. I have never had a negative experience at an Einsteins location until today.
Let's start with health precautions. Not a single mask on any of the employees or customers. Not even sign with a lackluster recommendation to wear one. If you want to increase your chances of catching Covid, then this is the place to go. My personal money will not be supporting a business that cares so little for their staff or customers.
The counter staff was more involved with conversations and showing off pics of their kid, than helping customers. They could have easily taken my order, then had their pic sharing time. But no, I was the one that had to wait.
I specifically said not to toast one of the bagels I ordered, because the person who it was intended for has dental problems and can't easily eat a toasted bagel. So of course they toasted it. Now I'm having to go to the mall to go to a different bagel place to get that person a bagel.
There was a man who clearly was in training, but the other employees acted irritated that they had to answer his questions. With only one order on the screen, they could have easily taken a second to answer his questions. I feel sorry for that guy.
From now on I'll make the drive out to the bagel shop up off the Carefree Highway. I won't step foot in an Einsteins...
