I first encountered Fiesta sa Barrio at Eagle Rock. It was a memorable meal with my family. But then I'm glad to find them here in Glendale.
We first came here as the second option after the Max's Restaurant in Broadway (which is alway full). But then I found that some of their dishes beat Max's in terms of taste and price. We still come here to for dinner during special occassions. My top 3 recommended dishes are:
Bulanglang w/ Lechon Kawali (melange of Filipino vegetables with crispy pork belly)
Bulalo (Beef Shanks Soup)
Sweet & Sour Fish
Special mention: Crispy Binagoongan (UNIQUE recipe, out of the ordinary) and Leche Flan (smooth and jiggly)
I like how they present the ambiance and the meal with the classic Filipino eat-at-home vibe. Always left full, never felt disappointed.
The place is small and simple, a dining room taken out from your house đ. Has sufficient parking but in case it is full, you can always park on the side of Stocker St.
At the moment, this is my personal favorite and recommended...
Read moreI was just there the other night, but Owners were very unwelcoming. Apparentlyâ you should be a devoted Laker fan. I went there with family and friends to celebrate the Warriors for winning the chip. They (w/ newly arrived customers) said âthis is a Warriors fan, letâs take this one downâ. I used to be a regular for many years and they know this. But you shouldnât treat ANYONE with disrespect. Very, very unethical and spiteful. Well, you just lost 1 customerâonly one. This wouldnât hurt you and your food business, but bewareâif you are craving for some Pinoy dish(es).. just YouTube the recipe and donât waste your money here. Not unless you want to splurge first on some Lakers merch to please them, then youâll get your VIP treatment. đ By the wayâ true hearted Warriors fan here, but Iâm kinda fond of Lebron too. đđđ ...
Read moreBest Authentic Filipino food that we've had. We can't pick which we liked the most, all of the food that we've ordered tasted soooo good (Pusit, Sinigang, Lechong Kawali, and Crispy Pata). The waiting time was worth it. The food was freshly cooked and tasted fresh especially the Pusit. Tasted so clean too, like someone prepared and cooked them thoroughly. Even the fried food was not dry, not oily, not bland, not too much, everything was cooked just right. The crisp and the juiciness of the fried foods, perfectly balanced. Prices were reasonable. Hard to find a parking spot but their food was worth trying, and I would say the best that we've tried here in California, not just the typical...
