So on the fence here about what I want to say and such. I’ve wanted to check out Good Brew for a while, but not in the area often. So yesterday when I found myself nearby I took a detour off the freeway and stopped by. First impression was the parking lot was insane. Very, very busy and had a hard time finding a space. I did a circle around the lot and lucked out with a spot right in front with a sign that said 15 minute parking. When I walked inside I was instantly greeted. The guy working was very personable and we chatted for a moment. I ordered my go to cold brew with hwc and sf vanilla. I also got excited because I saw pastries from suss pastry so I picked up a pop tart. They are my fave and I get them often from another local shop. The shop its self was small, but was set up great and even had a few people working on their laptops. There were a few great seating options and I chose an area to get cozy and wait for my drink so I could get back on the road. My drink was made quickly and my pop tart bagged with a napkin and fork as well. I appreciated that. My drink looked good and I couldn’t wait to try it. Unfortunately this is where it went t down for me. The first sip wasn’t good. I thought maybe the whipping cream wasn’t mixed well so I stirred it and got in the car because I had to make it to another area soon. As I was driving I tried a few more did and again not good. If I could describe the taste I’d say sour, a bit bitter but just tasted off. It was undrinkable for me and I had to throw it out. I was so bummed. I regret not staying a bit longer so I could’ve ordered something else etc. I’ll try again and be hopeful it was just an off day for the cold brew, but it was horrible. I’ve decided on three starts for service, pastries and the shop itself had a...

I really loved this place the first few times I went in, great coffee and love the menu. Tends to be a bit of a wait, so I began to call ahead. Last time I went in, called my order 4 minutes before I got there. Ordered hot. Coffee was cold. I politely let them know it was cold, the male owner got upset with me saying, well you placed a to go order. I said that was literally 4 minutes ago. Then he gave me eye rolling and attitude while he told sometime else to remake it and walked away. Very unprofessional. Then when they gave me the new drink, it was not hot either! The issue was not that it sat too long, it was they weren't bringing the drink to temp. I order to go coffee from Starbucks at least 3 times a week and it's never cold. Lattes don't get cold in 5 minutes or immediately for that matter if they're made correctly. If he had a good attitude about it and took time to understand, I'd have no problem. Before this I'd only gotten iced coffee and it was always good. Just the service made me never want to come back. I didnt bother letting them know the second drink was also cold given the attitude I was given the first go round. A good business means good customer service and unfortunately this guy is...

First time at this coffee house as we had a tire being installed around the corner and wanted a quick java. I ordered a 12 oz cappuccino and my wife had a 16 oz hot americano. The cappuccino milk was scalded and flat rendering the drink useless. The steamed milk was full of air bubbles instead having a smooth steamed texture. What's with barista's these days?! Using a steam wand and a properly calibrated thermometer is not rocket science! Any milk steamed over 150 (final) degrees is scalded and ruins the coffee drink! And bubbles in my steamed milk? Kids these days! My wife's hot americano suffered the same ill-fate, too hot! It took 10 minutes for it to cool enough to drink and by that time the roast was toast! We'll stick with Elevate Coffee from now on as they actually train their Barista's. Attention store Manager; It's not the consumers job to train your barista's! Send them to school if you don't know how to train them...

This was my first visit to Gold Brew. I ordered a cortado while my wife went for an orange/ginger/honey specialty latte. We also got a chocolate chip cookie and a date pastry. The cortado and latte both had skilled latte art and perfect microfoam (both indications of a barista who knows their business). Temperature-wise, they were ready to drink - not overly hot. The latte wasn't overly sweet or milky, either. The orange and ginger flavors were noticable but not overwhelming. The cortado was exactly as it should be. The barista was also excited about their new espresso machine - always a good sign that somebody takes their craft seriously. In addition to the quality drinks, the cookie and pastry were both tasty. I probably liked the date pastry a bit better. Next time I'm in the neighborhood, I'll definitely visit Gold Brew again. I'd rank it up their with the valley's better coffee houses like Berdena's or Press.

I had been to this spot a few years back when they were still called Small Town Coffeehouse, and I hadn't been overly impressed at the time. I decided to give them another try after the name change and menu refresh, and I'm happy I did! I went with a medium (20 oz) iced mocha with cherry syrup added and it was very good, just about the perfect level of sweetness (I like my mochas on the sweeter side). I also got an acai bowl, the peanut butter banana option with almond butter subbed instead of peanut butter. A nice frozen layer of acai sorbet topped with sliced banana, granola, shredded coconut, a scoop of almond butter, and drizzle of honey. So tasty! It made a nice, light breakfast and they're also good if you're on the go. This might become my regular coffee place close to home!

I am always on the hunt for locally owned and operated coffee shops, cafes and coffee bars, and I was pleasantly surprised to find Gold Brew Coffee Bar when I was out going to an interview. Gold Brew is my number one favorite specialty coffee shop. Their coffee is amazing. My favorite is their Blossom (espresso, lavender & honey). The atmosphere is warm and friendly and the staff is great! The owners are so friendly and kind. You can tell when someone loves what they do and it shows in all they do! I got the job and I am a regular now at Gold Brew! It's hard to find coffee shops that reflect those of a time gone by, but Gold Brew comes very close. I HIGHLY recommend Gold Brew Coffee Bar.
