Hungry Howie's Pizza — Restaurant in Glendale

I'm not sure what I just ate! lol Wow.. okay...I ALWAYS start craving food just as all my favorite places are closing. Tonight was no different and al my go to places were closed. Choices now are limited to McDonald's, Wendy's, Denny's, Dominoes... was't feeling it tonight. So did a google search for pizza open late near me... Hungry Howie's pops up and they are open until 12 AM!! I took a chance tonight and just went for it even with the mediocre reviews here.

Ordered a "Meatball Sub" but was extremely confused because the photos on the website show something that more resembles a calzone.. but I'm ordering a sub! SO I figured it was going to be meatball surprise! LOL Picked it, brought it home, opened the box and this NOT a sub! It's a calzone with with an opening around the edges! I was happy with this because I didn't really want a sub.. but man this looked scary! I've never ate here before but I'm starving, I have food back in my house.. it's chow time!!

This is NOT really great food but I'm craving hard... I ate the whole @#$% thing and I ENJOYED IT!!! It really hit the spot! I know I'm joking around a lot but I'm serious... this thing was YUMMY!!!! Total crave food and for that .. this is a whole lot of awesome right here! I can totally picture myself going back again at 11:30 when every other place is closed, ordering this again.. and loving it. Num num num num.. like the cookie monster without cookies. I'm the meatball monsters aaaah nam nam nam!!!! I don't know when.. but I'll be back Howie...........

I have had 2 horrible experiences with this particular location. The first incident, I had ordered delivery. The delivery driver was unable to find my apartment, and I had to meet her outside, where she had forgotten a lot of what I had ordered and proceeded to give me a garlic butter cup that she said she was originally "going to use, but only opened it a little".

The second incident happened last night. I ordered pick-up and arrived well after the expected pick up time. I had already paid online, but was told upon arrival that they were "just now about to call, to tell me that they were out of the pizza that I had ordered". I had ordered other items as well, but my order had not even been started. I asked for a refund at that point. The person who refunded the payment was incredibly rude while doing the transaction.

Needless to say, as much as I like their pizza, I will never order...

Only ever see that one gentleman working when I come in. Even on new years this man is putting out some fire pizza. Doesn't matter if it's busy or slow, or if I order in advance or wait on it. This man here always makes the best pizza. I never go to domino's, papa Johns, or little Ceasars anymore. Hungry Howies mix and match has saved us during this crappy bidenomics. My family and I eat good and happy for less than $20. It's always fresh, the crust is always phenomenal, and it's only $3 more than Aldi or walmart take and bake pizza. I cannot be more happy with this store. Thank yall for the consistent amazing pizza. The black dude who runs the place deserves a raise....
