"Tasty Erevan - Delicious Armenian Cuisine in the Heart of the City Glendale, CA

I recently had the pleasure of trying the shavirma (or shwarma) at Tasty Erevan, a popular Armenian restaurant in the heart of Glendale. As a big fan of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine, I was excited to sample their take on this classic street food dish.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the mouthwatering aroma of slowly roasted meat and spices. The service was friendly and attentive - my server provided great recommendations and answered all of my questions about the menu.

For my main, I ordered the classic chicken and pig shavirma. The meat was incredibly tender and flavorful, seasoned to perfection with a blend of aromatic spices. It was beautifully presented, wrapped in warm, soft flatbread and topped with cool, crunchy veggies.

Each bite was a delightful combination of textures and flavors. The rich, savory meat was perfectly balanced by the freshness of the tomatoes, and onions, cucumber, jalapeño.

For health reasons, I don’t want to be eating grains, carbs, breads, etc. 99% of the Shawarma locations in Glendale will not sell you just a plain side of meat chicken or beef. And if they do, they were going to charge me almost $20! This was the only place where I called him and he said no problem get over here right now and we’ll get it done for you. The portion itself was pretty hefty and I’m happy! Believe it or not they charged me only about 5 to 6 dollars just for the side Shawarma which is a steal! My friend and I love Mediterranean food, and we stopped by to have lunch here because we wanted to support a local business. The menu is simple and is posted outside on the window, and the gentleman working here is so warm, friendly, and accommodating! Like Subway, you could see your food being made/assembled from your seat, so that was fun. And most important of all, the food was high-quality, freshly made, and it was delicious! We got the shwarma wrap and plate, and the plate portion was generous. We will definitely be dining here again soon, and often....
