Indoor and outdoor seating was available. Outside tables very well spaced. Ordered the sampler platter appetizer to split between two. It was massive! Should have ordered the small. The flautas were plenty and meaty and the quesadilla was cheesy. I would have preferred less beans on the nachos but there was cheese a-plenty. Free chips and salsa. Salsa was decent with fresh chunky ingredients. Ordered side of guac that was okay. We could have used a side of salsa and hot sauce with the platter but they provided the salsa when asked for. Service was pleasant and attentive but not overly. I had a blended passion fruit margarita which was just the right amount of sweet and tart and fairly large and she had the michelada. We are used to a more basic version than we've had here in California. (Chili-lime salted rim with some squeezed lime juice, ice, mexican beer and tapatio.) Here in cali they use clamato which is kinda gross and they also have used a tamarind syrup which is also not a preference. The passion fruit rita was a nice change from the overly sweet fruits usually used in fruity styles though they were on the menu also. Even in blueberry. They do have a happy hour that ends at 6 with affordable house rita's and other drinks along with food specials. Read moreWe kept hearing good things about Pepe's, and then the pandemic hit. So instead of going by their location, we started ordering in via GrubHub, and we've done so with decent regularity now. Why? Because they serve good amounts of yummy food at reasonable prices, and we want to support local businesses. We couldn't find a Mexican place we liked for a few years but Pepe's has taken that spot in our lineup. Yes, some dishes are better than others, but they have some great ones. I judge any Mexican place by their chile verde, and Pepe's is always wonderful. We haven't had a bad meal through them once. In the Restaurant so I was judging the book by its cover thinking the food was no good or no flavor but I was wrong. Man I was wrong the food was very delicious very tasty I would highly recommend the chefs special very good a lot of food for your money. also, the service was excellent. My drink was halfway pink lemonade and they already wanted to fill it up my water also very good excellent service liters are on it. They also made everything perfect my asking all the time.
