Visited on Monday 10/30/23 just after 7pm. Was in the area and wanted to give this place a try for some pho based on the good reviews. Pho is one of my favorite dishes and i’ve been to many Vietnamese restaurants around the valley. First impression: cramped inside and dingy, but clean. Loud music was playing from a wall mounted tv. The music was cool but definitely not suitable for children’s ears with songs playing such as “Birthday Sex” by Jeremih and “B!tches love me” by Future. There were quite a few people dining in WITH children so we presumed the food must be good. However, we were taken aback by the HEAVY cinnamon pho broth! It was overwhelming, more like cinnamon tea. No beef flavor, no hints of fish sauce, star anise, etc.. Had to add dipping sauces to give it flavor which I’ve never had to do before as the broth is supposed to be the star of the dish. Perhaps it was an off day and someone rushed making the broth? Ordered mine with meatballs and round steak. It looked like one meatball had been sliced up and you had to look for the pieces of steak which were in unusually small pieces. The bean sprouts and basil provided did not look fresh. We were not offered any drink refills, nor asked if we needed anything else until we were about to leave. I will add that there appeared to only be two people working the busy front, handling both the take-out orders and the folks dining in. Unfortunately, I doubt...
Read moreAbsolutely amazing. I have been a couple of times on my own and I just cannot get over how fresh and tasty everything is! My go-to is the Dac Biet pho with everything on it. You cannot go wrong with this bowl. The spring rolls are always fresh and they are the best I have ever had. Today, for the first time I brought my Wife. My Wife is ultra picky when it comes to food and she is literally the hardest to impress. Boy was she loving it. She said the Crispy fried tofu spring rolls were her all-time favorite. They were actually crispy with good flavor. She loved the broth. She said it was unique and really savory. I have to agree. The staff is really friendly and outgoing. I always get the extra chili oil they keep in the back. This chili oil is actually HOT!! It is so flavorful and unique. Definitely give it a shot if you like to spice up your broth. The outside is a little unassuming, but it is comfortable and cozy on the inside with plenty of lighting. The seats/tables are all new and this place is spotless. We are definitely going to keep coming back and try the Bahn...
Read moreI’ve been to this pho restaurant a couple of times now, and both experiences were amazing. The first time I came in, I ordered the pho, and it truly hit the spot. The broth was rich and flavorful. The noodles were soft and silky, and the meat was tender and delicious. It honestly reminded me of the kind of pho you'd find in Vietnam.
Our waiter, Billy, served our table and made the experience even better. He was super friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without us even asking. You can tell he genuinely cares about the customers.
The second time I visited, I ordered to-go and tried the crispy red cornish hen. Let me just say, it was incredible!!!The skin was perfectly crispy, and the meat inside was juicy and flavorful. It had just the right amount of seasoning, and every bite was satisfying. It’s the kind of dish that makes you want to go back just for that.
Highly recommend this place if you're craving delicious pho or want to try something new like the crispy Cornish hen. Great food and...
