We were greeted upon arrival there was no sign about seating ourselves so we just stood there. The restaurant only had 2 other tables occupied so it wasn't busy. The waitress finally greeted us. We sat down and I immediately went to the restroom, it was warm in the restroom which was a bit abnormal since you want there it to be sanitary. But okay. We ordered a water and I ordered the pomegranate lemonade. It was okay. You can't really get it sweeter once it has ice. we wanted to order an appetizer we were thinking about the dumplings 😋 but then she made it a point for us to get the rolls instead. So we got them. Yes they were good but now thinking back I wonder if she just wanted us to get them because they were more expensive. The sauce we got with the rolls were very different than the usual. It was okay. The thai food was adequate. We got the lunch special. You choose the protein and they give u rice and salad with it it was a bit expensive for a lunch special $19. Yes the plates were big and were in Glendale but yea. Anyways my friend got a vegetarian dish and I got beef and broccoli because I always get pad Thai. The beef and broccoli had not enough flavor the meat was dry . I basically just ate the broccoli rice and salad. It also got cold right away because the AC was on full blast.i ddnt really like my plate so I took it home to fix it up. My friend really enjoyed hers so I was happy that she was happy. The waitress wasn't really attentive. Looked like she was trying to leave as soon as we got there and on her phone most of the time. It's like sure handle a phone call for work but don't be texting and talking on the phone in front of customers. Your there to work. Then we wanted to pay and get boxes for our food. She rushed us a bit. I was taking my time trying to pull my debit card out then I guess she got annoyed or something she put everything on the table and said take your time. Before I got to slip my card in the hand held machine she ran out the door. I thought something had happened but she just got in a car with a guy and just left. Didn't say anything to us or anything. We paid and yes we took our time. Then the whole time she was there we were asking for a cup to go for my friends water. We never got it. So my friend got mad and we left. I don't know if I'll come back for a second chance....
Read moreUpon stumbling upon this charming little hole-in-the-wall Thai restaurant, we were warmly greeted by the owner and promptly seated. After perusing the menu, we decided to start our culinary adventure with the Crispy Rolls priced at $11. These fried spring rolls filled with glass noodles, cabbage, carrots, and taro, served with a delightful sweet and sour sauce, were a vegan delight.
For our main courses, we indulged in the flavorful Pat Thai priced at $15, featuring rice noodles with beef, eggs, bean curd, sweet radish, bean sprouts, and green onions, all topped with roasted peanuts. Our second entrée was the Suji Dry priced at $17, a generous portion of glass noodles stir-fried with chicken, garlic, celery, carrots, Napa cabbage, and onions, tossed in a savory Japanese Sukiyaki sauce. The portion sizes were surprisingly large, easily satisfying two people per plate and proving to be great value for the price.
The restaurant exuded a cozy, homely ambiance that instantly put us at ease. The welcoming atmosphere, coupled with the soothing background music, enhanced our dining experience. Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant for its delicious food, generous portions, and inviting atmosphere. It's a hidden gem that deserves to be shared with others seeking a memorable dining experience. I look forward to returning to explore more of their menu offerings...
