I came here yesterday with my kids. I walked in and asked for change for the meter since all I saw is metered parking. They would only give me up to one dollar in quarters which was barely over 30 minutes, you’d think you’d want to help people want to spend money in your restaurant. The place seemed nice and clean and it had a chill ambiance. The big problem is with the food. It was AWFUL! We started with the calamari and it was cold, rubbery, soggy, chewy, and FLAVORLESS! And they serve it with mayo as a dip. My son got the pollo saltado which he said was ok but not great and my daughter ordered the seafood rice that had the same “calamari” that they served as an appetizer and two mussels. It was an unpleasant flavor. I ordered the ceviche mixto and it was honestly one of the most disgusting and disappointing meals I’ve ever eaten. The ceviche was flavorful less as a matter of fact it was so fishy that I couldn’t even finish it. We left all three plates almost full. We couldn’t finish them because the food was that bad. My son had two sodas and my daughter had two orchata. The bill came to $105.00 I definitely do not recommend this place....
Read moreMy friend, an LA resident, recommended this place to me! We arrived at the city quite late so we showed up at the restaurant around 8:45 PM, 15 mins before they closed. I felt super guilty, but the owner still gladly welcomed us! For parking, there is free parking basement for customers right around the corner.
We are a family of 4 and ordered 3 dishes: fried calamari, bisteck a lo pobre (steak), and picanto mariscos a la natalie (seafood). This was totally enough to make us full and satisfied! The fried calamari was super crunchy, and the tangy side salad balanced out the fattiness. The steak had the right tenderness and paired well with fries and plantain. The seafood dish tasted fresh, was mildly spicy, and came with rice. These 3 dishes really gave you different flavors and seemed to complement each other. For drinks, the passionfruit juice was a little on the sweet side, and perfect for me!
The owner was super nice and friendly with us ☺️☺️ Food was served quickly, the restaurant was clean and nicely decorated, and the atmosphere was chill. We had a great experience here; please come support this cute...
Read moreLove that lomo. We saw good reviews and decided to give it a try.
We ordered: Saltado de beef and 🦐 shrimp Ceviche pescado 🐟 House wine Purple corn drink
The good: This spot is the best Peruvian in Glendale. Beats out Mamita, Lola's for sure. Green sauce was spicy and on point Bread was fresh, warm and crusty Ceviche was tasty and plentiful Lomo saltado was tasty with good cuts of beef
Room to improve: -I personally don't like ceviche made from tilapia. They may mix it up, but tonight it was tilapia. If you like tilapia, they do it well here. -lomo combo was mostly fries. For $16.99, they could have given bigger cuts of steak or just more of it and a couple more shrimp. The dish is mostly rice and fries... It would be great to have a few more pieces of protein
Mario's in Hollywood is still my go-to, but glad to have Natalie here in Glendale for when I need a quick aji sauce...
