We have been going to this place for more than 25 years with excellent experience. However, Last night it was very insulting and humiliating. The restaurant was only half full. We asked for a table for five people. They gave us a leaf table with one chair each on three sides and two more chairs on the fourth side. The extended leaf of the table was sloping about 10 to 15 degrees and food and drinks could easily slide off the table. So, I went to the hostess and asked for any of the two available tables and no one was waiting for seating. The hostess (who appeared to be an emotionally stressed teen) went and asked the manager. The manager said we had to wait, so, we went back to the waiting area. On the return, I asked why couldn't we get one of the two available tables. I was completely dismayed by her answer that the manager said "The table is for six people and we are only 5". Since we had been going there for 25 years, other staff recognized us and told us that we could take the available table and told the hostess that it was okay for us to do so.
The worst part started now. Suddenly, Pattie, the manager walks to our table. Her attitude changed as soon as she noticed mostly non-white people. She asked who was talking to the hostess. I identified myself. She just turned to me and instead of asking about the situation, she just said almost in a very rude voice "She doesn't accept people yelling at the hostess". Me and our group tried to tell her that no one was yelling and she could talk to other staff and patrons to confirm that no one was yelling. I also mentioned to her that I did not appreciate her being so rude without knowing the complete situation. She also said, " She reserves the right to refuse the service". By then, we had already decided to leave the restaurant ending with over 25 years of being a regular good customer. We are never ever going back to the place unless we receive an apology for the behavior. Restaurants are supposed to provide customer service. The customers are not a venting place for whatever emotional issues they have behind...
Read moreAn Italian restaurant of the highest quality, Spaghetti Eddie's name and mural-plastered dining rooms might lead you to believe you're not going to get the best food you've ever eaten, but you will, in fact, get the best food you've ever eaten.
A regular of mine basically since I was born, Spaghetti Eddie's is still my favorite restaurant ever. I've been on food tours of Mexico, various European countries, and Vietnam, and this is still my favorite food in the world. Obviously nostalgia plays a role here, but it's honestly just such phenomenally high-quality food.
Their lasagna is a classic, and I always look forward to the time of year that they do a bunch of different flavors of lasagna - SO GOOD! They also have some amazing seasonal ravioli flavors throughout the year. Honestly the special of the month is always going to be a good choice.
They have a low-calorie menu for those on a diet, as well as lots of substitutions that can be made (gluten-free penne, veggies instead of pasta, etc) and their wait staff & chefs are really good with substitutions/allergies.
Every appetizer is pure perfection. Particular favorites of mine are the garlic puffs (a MUST), bruschetta, roasted artichoke, and arancini.
Their salads and soups are just as delicious as their mains. Every salad dressing is handcrafted and every single flavor is the best version of that flavor I've ever had. All their soups are so good that sometimes we plan our visits around the soup of the day.
Their prices are good, their service is efficient and friendly, and the place is cute and cozy.
I am convinced that this place deserves a Michelin star and you should be too. Best...
Read moreThis is almost 5 Star restaurant yet my Experience equals to barely 2, I’m an artist I’ve tattoos on my arms my fingers and I have a funky swag. Italian Mexican North African and Navajo. Immediately upon entering the restaurant I sensed very negative judge mental looks from a young blonde chunky Caucasian hostess working at the front counter directly at me and my 19-year-old beautiful daughter. I actually Made eye contact with her to let her know I seen her staring at us. No smiling no greeting no pleasantness just straight up negativity , bad vibes and judge mental looks. Our waiter was pretty cool he actually provided really good service. I had eggplant Gnodi, And honestly I couldn’t taste anything but cheese. My daughter had a seafood stew I forgot the name of it but she said was pretty good but not as good as another restaurant we went to recently. The manager seemed very attentive consistently walking around looking to improve the ambience and customers comfort level. It’s unfortunate for this restaurant that the first person that you see is an ignorant judgmental teenager with no customer skills. She set the tone for the rest of our experience . If you’re going to work with the public and deal with people then you need to open your mind the diversity and stop judging a book by its cover. Maybe management should consider hiring somebody multicultural or at least someone with more of a diverse perspectives and a pleasant disposition as opposed to some random 19 year old off the street who is best set in the back Washing dishes out of the customers view. Good luck we will never be...
