Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Gonzales

When I tell you, I’m so disappointed in chipotle. My family and I love to come here once a week just to unwind. And this is not the first time but my last two times when I have approached the counter, everything was either over cooked or they had no food displayed. And nevertheless this is the only location in Gonzales so we try to make the best of it because the staff is so friendly but today I believe I reach my boiling point when I was told they didn’t have any chicken. I don’t run a business but if I saw that I was running low, I wouldn’t wait until I’m completely out to try to get food from another location. To make matters worse the only thing they had was steak, and it was undercooked. It was completely red inside. I still decided to place an order because my sons were starving and I should’ve followed my first mind not to. So we decided to order the steak wrap any steak bowl? It was enough they didn’t have chicken but the the steak was uncooked and unseasoned. Lastly, I ordered the queso and chips and the only thing that tasted decent was the queso. The chips were hard as a rock and had way too much salt on it. For $31 I feel as though I was pranked. I do not see myself coming back to this location...

Chipotle at Tangier outlet is the best. Way better than izzos. Or, was. After a long day at work I couldn't wait to stop by and get a burrito from there. What's going on Chipotle? My burrito just doesn't have the same flavor as it did before. And how do you run out of cheese? Out of chips and napkins? How did you do that? Why is there no soap or paper towels in the men's room? I shouldn't have to ask a clerk there to put some in. Nor should a man have to knock on the ladies bathroom door and hope no one's in there just to see if they have soap. Men like to wash their hands too you know. What's going on? The staff were great but leadership is lacking which is making the food and enjoyment lacking. Today I wish I just went to Taco Bell instead bc I know what to expect there. I only ate half my burrito. Can I get a refund? You know what, just tighten up and make it how it once was not too long ago. Make Chipotle a good place to go...

Latest visit: We were in the area again and didn't realize where we were until it was too late and we pulled up to place an order. This time it was AMAZING. The service was super friendly, the food was excellent, and the serving sizes were huge. The first time it was 1 or 2 stars for food, service and atmosphere. This time it was 5 for the food and 5 for the service. Atmosphere was probably a 3.5 because it wasn't super clean, but nothing compared to the mess last time. I updated our star rating to reflect this most recent visit. We took our food to go this time and didn't see the bathrooms.

August 2023 visit: It was so messy in here that it was off-putting. Food on the floors and chairs and tables. No employees cleaning it up. And the food was not as good as most other locations - meat was chewy. Bathrooms messy. ...
