Before this starts, no you were not busy, nor were you about to close and this was on a Sunday evening.
We were seated immediately and about 15-20 min of waiting and 3-4 different servers walking by and looking at us, no body served us. The manager just did an over view of looking at the dining area, never really walked around except to the gift shop area from the kitchen.
The table adjacent to us, I could touch the other party we were that close, was being waited on by Bree, who was playing around with the guests she was serving, but no one came to even get our drink order or check on us. Once we we got tired of being ignored, my girlfriend made a loud comment 'wow they must be closing soon' so that Bree could hear her, which she turned around and looked at us. About 5 min later Bree came back to take our order, drinks and all. Food came out about 10 min later by Nicole, no drinks ever came. Nor did our biscuits which we asked about when our food got dropped off. Our waters made an appearance about halfway through the meal, biscuits still a no-show. We never got any refills the entire time there either. The biscuits came out after we had finished because 'she had to go find some' when other tables were getting their biscuits just fine. I guess they knew where the secret stash of biscuits were. My girlfriend said that we were finished now and that we'll take them to go. We asked for a to-go container and check. She gave us our check and we proceeded to check out. Overall the food was not hot, it was in the 'warm soon to be cold' stage.
We made a comment to the person taking our check and money about the service and he couldn't care less. Didn't attempt to learn what had happened, didn't get the manager on the radio that they're all wearing so it wasn't like he was going out of his way, nothing. Just said oh okay and asked if we needed a receipt. We figured since this restaurant was in a nice area it would be just as good as the one in Baton Rouge, which is in an okay area, wrong. We've gotten 5 star service in Baton Rouge all the time. The young kids running this Tanger store could care less about service or anything else. We will be returning to cracker barrel just not this one.
We're not one to cause a scene or anything in public stores, and disrupt other consumers. We just patiently waited for things to get better, or if someone got inovled, but since everyone in that store couldn't care less,...
Read moreThis Cracker Barrel restaurant in Gonzales Louisiana has the most horrible service. My mom and my daughter went there to eat today on MLK day. The waitress was so rude when we were giving her our order, she would stuck her finger up in the air to us and said wait and she walked away and she went to another table and start waiting on some more guests when I tell you we were not rude to her. We didn’t talk nasty to her. We were nice and she was so rude. We sat at the table for 35 minutes waiting for her to wait on us when she did take our order she cut me off and she walked away when my daughter told her my six-year-old daughter told her she was rude. She walked away and got another waitress to come and wait on us. We never got our food. We only had water on our table. When I tell you they were rude. Even down to the manager Jake was the managers name and I will waitress was named Keisha I’ll never go back there again. I felt to be honest I felt that we were judged on the color of our skin. My feelings were hurt I wanted to cry and all the managers said was, I’m sorry he didn’t even try to talk to us about what can he do to make us feel more comfortable or you know what can he do to make to get us to stay so that we can you know have our breakfast he just said I’m sorry and just let us walked out the door and that was it Manager name is Jake and the waitress was named Keisha. I don’t recommend this place to no one. No one and to say that the manager and the waitress Keisha were African-Americans and today was a holiday. Martin Luther King. They want you to write them on ⭐️ . My first star for food is one because we never got to eat anything. The second rate for ⭐️ was. Service service was very very poor and the last one atmosphere they go hand-in-hand with service, poor and...
Read moreMe and my mom came in to eat and after we were seated we were “greeted” by April our waiter. from the start she was very rude saying”WHAT DO YALL WANT TO DRINK” in the most rude voice. then after she came back to take our order, or at this point her herself was trying to choose what we were eating as she was saying.” yall should really get the french toast it’s fast so yall can get out of here faster.” It was as if she didn’t want us there even though we never met this woman in our lives. I then gave her my order and the whole time she was huffing and puffing like a raging bull, once it was mothers turn she was giving her the death stare the whole time and was so impatient. After we gave her our order she stormed off. Our food was then given to us by a different waiter but it was still missing our biscuits and gravy , grits, and the butter we asked for. We knew it could’ve just been a simple mistake but once April came back over she was very rude and all my mother got to tell her was we didn’t get the butter and once my mother tried to tell April about the biscuits April stormed off again like a oversized two year old with anger issues. Once she came back with 1 pack of butter my Mom asked to speak the manager and April immediately grabbed my moms shoulder and said “ oh no no no what’s wrong my love and was staring into her soul” and when my mother told her how she wasn’t acting professionally she said “no it’s just my GM didn’t let me stay home today”. I get that your GM didn’t let you stay home but you don’t take it out on your customers. But April i hope you learn how to treat customers better and have a better day. we...
