Waffle House — Restaurant in Gonzales

So initially it was a one star but Shayne made it the five stars. She was very kind and had fantastic customer service. I frequent this Waffle House since I live so close and three different times one female server, who wears a puff on her head, in particular has lied about them only doing take out orders. The first two times, i understood since it was like 1 am once on a weekend and once on a weekday. I happily took my food. This time, it was 9pm on a Friday. I had already been waiting during the shift change for at least 10-15 minutes. I asked nicely could we please eat in. I was hungry and it was early and that I’d really appreciate it. Her only response was “no ma’am” with an tone behind it. So as I took my leave since I was just through with her attitude, I ran into a very nice cook and Shayne who both told me that I could in fact eat in and that Shayne would be happy to serve me. And I am so glad that she did. I also found it interesting that five kids who came in after my friend and I, were being served Dine-In by the same rude server who claimed she only did Take-Out. I guess you need to be a part of her “crew” to get respect. Shayne though was Super sweet, a great smile and kind. My great day almost turned sour and she was able to turn it back to a great evening. Very entertaining like the perfect Idea for a new reality series.. Why you may ask well because the simple fact that All Waffle houses that exist have learned all that is to be learned and expected. This was shown tonight the moment I arrived at The Walffle House. The Employees were so calm and let everything play put as if they new what was going to happen. They continued working as if nothing was happening not bc they didnt care but bc what was going on is already learned and known to be over soon with nothing going to happen except a good show... Like mark my words that is going to happen real soon appreciation for all who serve those in need of an amazing blessing of food late into the night when most are asleep with their families in their homes. All to earn money to live life always having to revolve life around a dollar sign, A Dollar sign that blocks the truth of ones self from being known and seen. I came in to get food because I love Waffle House (usually Uber food to myself but I couldn’t say the same for this location .On my way home tired and exhausted. Not really wanting to stop spite the pandemic decided to pull over for a bite to eat . I was shocked because # First off no one greeted me . # Second it was only 1 person ahead of me the wait was to long #Third Needed just a little help with order far as how it was served / quantity so I could say well I would like more r less of waffles n chicken the waitress acted as if she was tired / over worked didn’t want to be there or something but I was not comfortable because of this # Fourth as I’m looking down at this point I look over to the floor and it was so NASTY Like to Xfinity and beyond it brought my attention to the grills which had food all over IT LOOKED as if it hadn’t been cleaned all day the dang day long this coupled with a side of the attitude I’d never ever eat here at this place again and I wouldn’t suggest a soul eat here.
