Arriba Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Goodyear

I decided to try this mexican joint out & boy was that a mistake! Went in on a Saturday about 6 or so with 4 of my friends, hoping to have some good food, good drinks & enjoy time with them. The building seemed inviting & thought this might be a good place ( Never judge a book by its cover) It seemed like quite a few people waiting to be seated & about 3 employees up at the hostess desk. There were 2 girls giggling & talking & ignoring the customers. We waited for about 8 minutes before any of them acknowledged us. I finally walked up to the desk & said to one girl, Hello, I’m Warren, whats your name & she replied , Monica. I said hello Monica there will be 5 total. I spoke to her, looked her in the eye & was friendly hoping she would take the act of kindness & use it. She said it will be about 10 minutes & then went back to giggling & not helping the customers. There was a friendly young boy who greeted us & took us to a table. He was about the nicest one. It seemed this young man was the only one working for his paycheck. Finally sat down & our server who seemed preoccupied just forgot us. Now, I was thirsty & wanting a margarita. Finally she came with no apology & acted like we were a bother. Ordered a margarita ( who doesnt want to try one at a mexican restaurant) THE worst drink ever! Watered down, spotty glass, barely any salt, mistake! At this point, I wanted to apologize to my friends for choosing this location that was a central point for us all. Food came.. ordered taco and enchilada combo. Food came out cold, waitress who by the way was so rude & quiet that we never caught her name..anyways we had to ASK for things you would assume they would bring.. silverware, more salsa.. at this point I didn’t want to waste ny time on speaking with a manager about my experience from the very beginning to the end. I just wanted to leave & hope that maybe someone in management would care enough to hire a bit more classy people. And I change my star to 1/4 and thats only for the...

Everything started off fine... we were sat immediately since there weren't very many people dining and chips & salsa came quickly. Our server took our drink order and things went downhill from there.

Being sat in the bar area, I was able to watch as the bartender & manager were talking while we waited 10 min before our server asked for our margaritas to be made & brought them to our table in 12oz glasses. Both my wife and I stirred our drinks & found foreign objects in them. They were sent back and remade but not before our server walked around the restaurant with them looking for either the bartender, manager or both. The drinks were now served in a 6oz glass... my wife's went from good to extremely sour and was sent back. Finally on the 3rd try. hers was made drinkable in a 12oz glass again. We were told that the reason for the mistakes was because the bartender had already put everything away... it's 835pm and people are still being seated.

Next, we order our food. It took a little while to receive it, but not unreasonable. My wife & daughter's food was ok but the chicken on my plate was cold! When our server finally came by, I sent my food back but by this time, I was done!

At no point did the manager come by to apologize, offer a substitute or make any attempt to make it right although I watched as she came into the bar several times speaking with both our server & bartender. Since I know it's standard practice for the manager to be informed of any & all customer issues, I expected her to come by after the first two margaritas were sent back with stuff floating in them but she just walked off each time.

With this type of customer service, I highly doubt that we will ever return and definitely wouldn't recommend eating at...

This is the first time that I have been to this Arribas and gotten terrible service. Every time I’ve came in, I’ve never had any complaints. Today the food was good and came out fast. Took us about 5 minutes to even get a server to take our order, since we’ve been here plenty of times we knew what we wanted and we had plenty of time to look at the menu. As soon as the server arrived we were not greeted just simply asked what we wanted to drink, my girlfriend ordered her drink and when I ordered mine I don’t believe she understood what I was asking for as I asked for a Roy Rodger’s, I understand that may not be a common drink but instead of asking what that was the server simply said they didn’t have that which is soda and grenadine. After we ordered drinks, she hurried off without asking about our food, we didn’t even have a chance to tell her we were ready before she ran off. When she came back with our drinks we placed our order, 2 mini chimichanga appetizers. Food came out fast, but when it came out there was only one order of chimichangas. These appetizers were our meals. We finished the whole appetizers together before the server came back 15 minutes later as we stared her down to get her attention. Other people that have been sat around us were also clearly annoyed since they also were sitting there a while without service. It was 6 in the afternoon on a Sunday and only a handful of tables were here. The food was amazing. We ended up taking the second meal home. Before we left I saw the other male server that brought out our food licking his fingers walking back to the kitchen.
