My sister and I went for a girls' night dinner on a Tuesday evening around 6 pm. We wanted lobsterias and garlic bread mostly.
Where do I start with this uncomfortable disappointment?
I spent $65. My sister spent $55. $120 total for dinner on a Tuesday night. 45 minutes was tolerated.
Service: Our server was so bored because the place was empty. He kept coming to the table more than necessary. Every 10 minutes, sir? Our conversation kept getting cut off and interrupted, and it was annoying and fake behavior on his part. Although I appreciate the attentiveness over lack of appearance. It was too much.
Atmosphere: There was a party of 15 seated on the other side of the empty restaurant. 4 of them were children under 8 years old. The end half of the time we were there... the parents allowed these children to jump on the booths next to us. They WALKED on the table tops and were SCREAMING across the room for 30 mins. Not one staff member said anything or stopped those children. The ADULTS let them act like that in a restaurant. The last time I checked, chuckie cheese was open. I said something to our waiter and he said, "That's not my table." The lack of care that this was allowed was unbearable. We left faster than we needed to.
Food: I ordered stuffed mushrooms for appetizers. For $15, I got tiny mushrooms stuffed with breading... no crabmeat.
I ordered a strawberry frozen lobsteria for $15. It tasted like pure liquor and was warm and liquid when it was brought to the table. I expected a frozen drink smoothie consistency.
I ordered the tuesday special. It was lobster and scampi shrimp for $24. I got a tiny 🦞 that was overcooked, chewy, and could take 6 bites from, and it was gone. The shrimp scampi was tiny pieces. Not even a medium or jumbo shrimp size. The dish was overfilled with butter ( which I love). I said to myself, " Can I have more shrimp with my butter?" The only enjoyable thing on my plate was the baked potato I got as a side. Which was also small. Lol
In conclusion, if you'd like tiny pieces/portions of food that have no taste or presentation, a waiter who didn't understand the boundaries of a private dinner conversation, and lastly the atmosphere of a childrens birthday party with kids making the tables and chairs a screaming circus jungle gym.
That's what $120 gets...
Read moreTried to leave this on their corporate page, but said error with font. Please save your money. I always liked red lobster, but I won't go there anymore. I think they may be getting ready to close. The restaurant was warm, waiter said they have been working on the AC for a few days and that a couple of days ago it was 95* in there. The food was all mixed up between orders. We went tonight got the lobster and steak (2 me and wife) and endless shrimp. Had to remind them for my wife's drink, after waiting about 20 mins. They did bring our sodas though. They brought the food and one steak was med ( both were to be med) mine was about 1/2 inch think and well done. The manger bought it and asked if I wanted to send it back. I said I would try it, nope not worth it. Ask for new one. Give the wife my lobster tail, I like shrimp more. Not this shrimp scampi, not sampi it think it was boiled in a bag. I asked the manger, because they used to broil cheese on top, but not anymore. He said he was new (4 months) which is totally fine. The fried shrimp could have used a little more crunch. My wife and I don't get out much, she on oxygen and we really try not to be around a lot of people, so going out is a treat to us. The best part of our meals when we go out is seeing her munch away and being happy. Together 37 years so kind of like her. I didn't say really anything because she liked her food and was happy. Mine sucked I won't be spending my money or wasting the times we get to go out on red lobster anymore. I saw the same thing wit Bill Johnson big apple. My bill was $125 and I ate dozen shrimp. I brought home the steak and some of the shrimp and sides for the wife, I'll fix it up here. But I promise you you will get better food at alot of places and at a better price. Sad day for me, but now I know. I think I'm going to start hitting up the food trucks or Black Angus or angry crab (Louisiana style)....
Read moreI waited a full week to make this review. I wanted to make sure I thought about it first. Let me start by saying I've been to this location a few times before. I never had a problem. Maybe it's because we're kind of post-covid now. But I went on a Wednesday (there were 4 of us). First, you can check in on their app. It tells you what time to show up to be seated. We did. Only to have the guy at the front (very nice young man) tell us the app shows them we're coming, but the wait time (another hour) starts when we show up. We almost left. To his credit, he got us seated in 15 minutes. The waitress was nice. She seemed to know the menu and adequately answered our questions. We ordered. It went down hill from there. While the food was exactly what we expected (except the crab legs.. I'll get back to that). It's a medium-high end commercial seafood chain. You get what you pay for. I'm good with that. But sides were forgotten. Drinks and food were extremely slow. Near the end, we realized someone never got their side of crab legs. It took an additional 15 minutes to get them and they came out cold. All in all, from being seated until the time we left, we were there almost 2 hours, waiting for this side or that to finally come out. It was miserable. It doesn't matter if I spent $30 or $300 (it was almost $300 with tip... I don't know if it was the waitress's fault or not, so I wasn't going to punish her)... A dining experience should never take that long. And we didn't take long to order or anything. I might go back some day, but the whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth (no pun intended, the food was pretty good). It was my son's girlfriend's first real experience at a seafood restaurant and I thought it would be a real...
