Señor Taco — Restaurant in Goodyear

We are fans of Señor Taco for quick "authentic" Mexican food. Service is always good and quick, prices are affordable, and portions are big. I say "authentic" bc there is an American spin on some of their menu items, but it's good food, fresh ingredients, quality cuts of beef for the carne asada & shredded beef. We're always happy with it.

Tonight was extraordinary & I am super happy with the service we got. The cash registers, credit card machines - and the entire FOOD ORDERING system - were down. The staff remained calm, poised and friendly. They improvised on how to take orders to put into the kitchen, and they worked out how to get the orders out to waiting customers. As for payment, honor system. They said just to settle up on it next time we come in. Not just "me" we, "we" was everyone coming in. They said it's not the customers fault the system is down, and their job is to feed people, and they were happy to be able to continue to do so.

In a day and age where just asking for "no lettuce" makes a lot of front line employee's head explode with confusion and they suffer a total inability to process any request that is not "not in the script" the team working tonight are true professionals. A lot of stores would have closed up their doors and turned off the lights for the night, bc they wouldn't have been able to figure out how to put orders in without the computers running. Let alone staying calm, remaining friendly, and still giving great service. And, they were giving the food away on the honor system ... like a neighbor would. Poor service. Went in last night 6/30/16 to order... ans where do I start. Well as I'm ordering the girl answers the phone mid order so I'm just standing there. After she passes the phone to a Co worker rolls her eyes at the person with a complaint. OK rude I thought but hey its not me. Well after I'm finished ordering never tells me my total just took my credit card out of my hand. OK whatever. I say thank you after I get my receipt.. no response... as my food is brought to my table in front to go the girl says "here" and just turns to walk away. I say thank you again. No response. All I was thinking was why am I saying thank you? Shouldn't they say that for my business? Anyways as I'm walking out I'm thinking to myself the 2 girls raking orders never even smiled once to any customer or greeted anyone as they stood there to order... what I say to these young ladies is if you don't wanna be in the hospitality industry then find a new job. To the owners please re train or talk to these ladies as I will not be going back until there no longer working there. The other 2 girls that worked there before where way better employees. It's unfortunate 2 because since I moved here this was my go to Mexican restaurant in Goodyear. Not anymore. I'll be going right...

I’m not the type to ever do this unless I’m highly unsatisfied. There service was good up until I had an issue with my order, I placed my order over the phone while sitting outside in the parking lot, and she told me it’ll be ready in 10 mins so I went in, within the next 10 minutes. I got home my plate looked okay besides I said no guacamole and they put it on everything anyways, so I just took it off. As soon as I picked up my taco a clump of so called meat and my toppings fell out mind you I only live about 5 mins from the place so my food shouldn’t have been soggy. As I’ll include in the pictures from a video I took below you’ll see how the “meat” was crumbling. On to the next item i had which were some tostitos they were soggy and just lacked so much flavor.
