I visited this Starbucks on Saturday, April 21st with my cousin Kate. We had ordered drinks using her Starbucks app at 6:23pm. We arrived at the store and experience the WORST one we've had at Starbucks TO DATE. I myself have never used the Starbucks app, and being such a noob I made a mistake with my order.
We enter the Starbucks and almost immediately we are asked by one of the three female baristas if we were picking up for Kate. We respond that we are. One of the baristas with blonde hair asks me something about the order (something about ice and how frappes are made with ice, when I had mistakenly thought that meant they were going to put ice CUBES in my drink, so on the app I had chosen for NO ICE). She explains to me in a condescending manner that frappes are made with blended ice. I try to play it off, as I am embarrassed at this point, and try laughing at myself. This is the part when said blonde barista makes several faces, turns around, and walks into the back, visibly laughing at some inside joke they obviously had going on prior to our arrival at the expense of my lack of Starbucks App skills. The dark curly haired barista ALSO made a face as she turned around to start making my drink. This barista then questions all the other "edits" I had on my order and I oblige her with my responses. There was another blonde haired female working who I believe had straight hair tied into a ponytail. I am only guessing, but I think she was acting manager at the time. She, too, made faces that Kate and I could see. These women had the audacity to do all this all while WE WERE STANDING RIGHT THERE.
We took our drinks when they were finished being put together, and before we left, I gave these three women a little speech on Customer Service, having been a customer service representative and having a sales position for over 6 years. As a sales representative of a business, STARBUCKS NO LESS, you should NEVER, EVER, EVER make your customer feel uncomfortable. You should NEVER make faces. These women didn't even have the COMMON DECENCY of holding in their laughter OR facial reactions until they made it back into the privacy of the back room.
Some things I was not able to part with them are as follows. You would think that after the whole racism incident that happened a few DAYS PRIOR, (April 12), you'd think Starbucks Baristas EVERYWHERE would be making SURE that they DAMN WELL TREATED ALL PAYING CUSTOMERS WITH RESPECT. But these women clearly don't have the knack for it. I guess the best display of respect they showed was when I was about to leave and gave them my little speech on customer service, the straight-haired blonde girl accepted my criticism and replied back with "have a nice day," though you could CLEARLY hear it in her voice that it was a sarcastic comment.
I was truly appalled at the behavior of the three baristas that afternoon. I'd never before have I received this type of treatment. I was humiliated, as other customers in the shop could hear. I hope those three ladies get an extra lessons on customer service on May 29th, because they TRULY NEED IT.
And no, neither I nor Kate plan on returning to that store if we can help it. We are both very disappointed in the way we were treated. Check your cameras, and you can see what actually transpired. Check your app logs to see when and where and what time this whole incident happened. Do what you will, but you are a disgrace to Starbucks, especially after your own CEO has been trying to make a point to treat ALL customer from all walks of life...
Read moreThis particular Starbucks was not very nice, I went on a happy hour day and used a gift card, I was told by the cashier that I couldn't participate in the happy hour unless I had a card linked to my app and I was baffled as to why, asked him for the manager and the young lady (mngr) told me it was a rule and I couldn't use my gift card for the happy hour special since I didn't have it linked to my app. I paid full price and decided to wait to speak to her again. I have visited many Starbucks and was never asked to use a card linked in my app, the app was never brought up at all. I asked her to show me or tell me where that rule was. Where it says I cannot have the happy hour special if my card wasn't linked to the app, she said she didn't have to show me, it was a rule. Needless to say we rubbed eachother the wrong way and although she refunded the money she gave me looks that could kill. I visit Starbucks at least 3 to 4 times a week and this one bad experience has truly thrown me off. I know mt $5 /$6 dollars a day wouldn't put a damper in business if I no longer decided to quench my java addiction there but if this were to happen to more than just me, sooner or later this one store would definitely start to lose loyal customers and that's definitely bad...
Read moreI had so many mishaps in this store, it's unreal. I decided to buy a thermos, and use my stars, but the barista applied them to the whole order. I was watching to make sure they washed the thermos, but I don't think they did... I asked if at least the paper wasn't still in there, and they confirmed it wasn't. I don't think we ever got around drink options, so I basically used 200 stars for a grande iced Americano with nothing in it. When I went to get a refill and mentioned the experience to another associate, nothing was mentioned as far as fixing it, but she did get my next order wrong by forgetting to add heavy cream. I decided to contact corporate about getting my stars back, but I was on hold for 40 minutes via their texting support, and finally decided to call them, and they...
