Absolutely disgusted with owner and this location. I ordered my chicken sandwich fully loaded, but I didn't realize the clerk didn't punch it in that way. When I got my food at the table, I noticed my chicken burger was plain, nothing on it. Okay, I went back to the counter and told them they didn't put cheese or anything else on my sandwich. I was asked for my receipt, and they said they would fix it, to go sit down. Then a few minutes later I was asked to come up because I had to pay the $0.40 to upgrade my sandwich because it wasn't upgraded on my receipt. Weird, usually when a restaurant makes a small mistake like this, they just accept it and move on, so I dug in my pocket and paid the lady so I could get what I wanted to begin with. Then I was told to sit down again. About 10 minutes later a server comes to my table with a plastic container with a tomato, lettuce and cheese. Huh? Where's the sandwich (which I was told to keep, didn't realize they meant hang on to it because we're going to get you the missing stuff - by this time my sandwich is almost cold) . So I walk back up and ask to speak with the manager. She comes over and I explain that I didn't want a naked sandwich and a plastic container of veggies and cheese to build myself, I wanted a fully built sandwich which was still hot to eat, which melted the cheese on it (this one would never melt anything). She took my food and said she would have it remade and brought out. 5 minutes later a young man brings me my sandwich. A little while later, the owner comes out, and comes over to my table. He asks to see my receipt, at which point he tells me I got everything I paid for in the way I paid for it, there should be no problem here. He didn't like the fact that I asked to have the sandwich remade because of the issues, and he complained about me demanding such and 'wasting food'. He then walks over to the counter and comes back with a stack of free sandwich cards and says to me 'now I know your experience here wasn't the greatest, and I wouldn't blame you for not wanting to come back, so here's some free sandwiches for the problems we caused. Now, frankly, you can use them at any Chic-Fil-A in all of America, and I'd understand completely if you didn't want to come back to my Chic-Fil-A here in Grand Forks, so feel free to use them anywhere else. In fact, I would actually prefer if you never came back to my restaurant ever again' and he walked away. I absolutely could not believe it. His staff screws up my order, and I ask to have it corrected to the way I wanted it, and I'm told to never come back to his restaurant again ?? I was so disgusted with the experience at this Chic-Fil-A that I will probably never visit another one anywhere else in...
Read moreI travel all over the USA for work. This has to be the slowest Chick-fil-A I have ever been to, especially considering the two breakfast visits had two or fewer patrons besides myself in the store.
I visited this store three times this week, twice for breakfast (around 08:30 and 09:45, respectively) and once for lunch (at around 14:00). I dined inside for all three occassions. None of the times I visited did my food arrive in less than 10 minutes.
Today, I was in a bit of a rush as I needed to get to the airport to catch a flight. My breakfast was ordered at 09:50 and arrived at my table at 10:13. I waited 23 minutes for a breakfast burrito that was lukewarm. Keep in mind, I was one of three patrons in the store. Also, the manager or drove-theu operator was complaining about food times. I watched as many orders went out the drive-thru window, and I sat inside waiting for mine.
I don't generally leave negative reviews unless I am drastically moved to do so. Today, I felt the need to do so. I guess I won't be returning to this store on future visits to Grand Forks. Sad, really, as Chick-fil-a tends to be an easy, go-to...
Read moreUpdate: After waiting for corporate response and just getting canned statements, the store owner contacted me. The owner was very polite and professional. He explained his local store policy to my satisfaction. Policy does not include discounts for Border Patrol, US Customs or Firefighters.
Thank you for clarification. Am leaving old review temporarily.
Old review: I’ve attempted to ask corporate about their policy for discounts. Typically military and Law Enforcement receive a discount. Although not required or expected it has been the norm in the past in Grand Forks. The owner/manager is no longer giving this discount. The owner/manager wouldn’t even offer sauce with a meal recently. Is this a new local policy or is it the result of the recent bad LEO publicity by the media???? Timing is extremely strange....... A uniformed/on duty LEO is offered nothing but the basic meal. Never once have I seen any employee Not even offer a sauce packet with a meal.
Like is said: Not expected or required, but would like to know the reason for the sudden change.
No response from corporate on their...
