Ever wanted to eat bland overpriced sliders in a faux food court setting? Then it's your lucky day this is your place. It's starts when you walk through what you think is the front door and realize that the ordering kiosks are completely on the other side of the restaurant. You will have to cross the seating area to order. While seated we noticed multiple families that came in and stood around looking confused where to go. All ordering is done through Kiosks, no worker there to help. After ordering and finding an open seat you then get to sit and wait for your name to be called from 1 of 3 or 4 areas. Pizza/wing orders in 1 area, sliders in another, and milkshakes in a 3. (I assume the bar is also an area to pick up orders from making 4) depending on what your party orders you may get up multiple times as each item becomes ready separately. Food wise it's hit or miss. The pizza we tried was tasty and large for a slice, I would say barely worth the price. The sliders? Not so much. For 5-7 dollars per slider WITHOUT fries they were mediocre at best, they tasted like sliders you would expect on a middle tiered restaurants appetizer platter but at the price they charge you would expect more. The milkshakes? Well, tasty but not quite $18 dollars with tax tasty. The price of the shakes could be enough to make a family with 4-5 kids cringe. As it were the experience cost 80 dollars for a family of 3, this included a shake, 2 drinks 4 sliders 2 fries and a slice of pizza. Six flags food at six flags pricing. Sadly they waste what could be great potential at a beautiful location. Their outdoor area is meh. Couple of uncovered tables outside overlooking the pond. It's sad compared to the 3 restaurants neighboring next door that have full covered patios and comfortable looking seating in case of bad weather. Not to mention you can't order outside and there are no waiters, it's underutilized and a waste of potential. Overall a very underwhelming experience that ended with all of us wishing we had Vidora next door or even Whataburger across the street. Can't imagine this place lasting but with some serious...
Read moreNot what I expected from this restaurant group. I believe that originally this was going to be a Serious Pizza and not a food hall. The place is nice looking but that is where is ends. There are only 3 kiosks to place orders. On a Monday night it was not too bad but I can't imagine how long it must take to place an order on a busy weekend. They do not offer an app, that would be very helpful.
The food is just ok. The sliders taste nice but are very small for the price you pay. The tots were the best thing from the slider bay. The classic shakes are nice and not too overpriced but I am not sure what they put on top of them. They do not use whipped cream. They are using some sort of dairy whip which does not melt. It is not nice, it's like fluffy oil. The pizza slices were huge and hot but took a very long time to come out. They were not bad but not nearly as good as the pizzas you can get at their Serious Pizza locations. Do you want a whole pizza? Nope, not here. You could order enough slices to be a whole pizza but the price would be outrageous.
Overall, this concept is just a little odd. It is supposed to be a food hall but generally the stalls in food halls are different businesses and not all owned by the same company. It would have made more sense to just open a single restaurant with whole pizzas, slices, bar food, and shakes on the menu instead of this gimmicky food hall. The biggest issues I had with this location is the pricing is too high and the speed at which the food comes out is all over the place. If someone in your group orders only sliders and someone else orders pizza, the slider eaters will be done before the pizza eaters even get their food. Hopefully they can make some tweaks to this location to fix some of these issues. In the meantime I will just continue to visit the serious pizza locations. I also hope they can resolve...
Read moreSuper cute place, but that is all that I really enjoyed about it. Overall experience was pretty disappointing. You order via kiosk and as food items are ready they call your name/text. We got out slider and tots first - took just 5 minutes, then our shake shortly after - maybe 2-3 minutes later. Our pizza slices came out 15 minutes after the shake. If you want to eat together and are ordering from different stalls I recommend ordering the sliders after you pick up the pizza which is very hot and needs time to cool.
Food was just ok, but pretty expensive for what you get. Slider had a tiny patty, but it was tasty. I was disappointed in the pizza. Slices were huge, but it was bland and a bit sloppy to eat. Nothing like the Serious Pizza I had in the regular pizza restaurant. Shake was good, but uses a fake whipped cream that does not melt which was a bit icky.
Overall, it was fun to visit once but I don't think I would go again. Thinking about it now, the concept is a bit strange. A traditional food hall doesn't usually have the same owner for the whole hall so it would make sense that food would come out at different times - but the fun is in the variety which this concept lacks. Serious Eats feels like a way to have a restaurant without the worry of kitchen timing. It is an overcomplicated way of having a pretty basic walk up pizza restaurant and bar...
