We stopped for gas on our way through Grangeville to Washington and decided to try this bright yellow espresso stand that was next to the gas station.
First thought is that itās cute and super clean and tidy on the outside. So far so good. It was a little bit of a wait but once we got our coffee and breakfast we found out that it is so well worth the wait.
The gal who took our order was very pleasant and patient with us two weary travelers. I truly appreciate her kindness. So far even better.
I had the bagel special - jalapeƱo bagel with jalapeƱo and bacon cream cheese. My travel buddy got the breakfast burrito. Both were excellent!!
The coffee was the best I have had in years! I ordered a sugar free, fat free, split shot Mocha and it was superb! My travel buddy felt the same way about his Americano with just a splash of cream (most places get this wrong and think a splash is a 1/4 cup!) they were spot on with their āsplashā.
I wish my vocabulary was big enough to use more descriptive language but alas, itās not. I hope my heart felt praise for this delightful little coffee shop encourages everyone who reads it to stop by. You wonāt be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAn excellent place for coffee! I have a small obsession with tiny, indie espresso stands so the second this one popped up on my Google search I decide I needed to check them out!
Damn are they popular! They have wide array of drinks and food. Iād heard something about an Idaho Hone Latte which I noted I must try in the future.
Today I went with an iced Star Spangled Latte - espresso, raspberry, cream and whip, although I omitted the whip. My travel buddy got an iced breve. The total for two medium drinks came out to only $8.75 before tipping.
I absolutely loved my drink! It was sweet, fruity and did exactly what I needed it to do. It was unlike any coffee I had ever had. The only thing that could have made it better would have been to order it blended. My buddy agreed her drink was excellent.
Iām totally returning to Sunrise next time I come through Grangeville. Another example of why these stands are the best and will always come out on top compared to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUnbelievable attitude of the Barista. We drove up exhausted from a long day and traveling. Asked if they followed the 10 second rule for placing shots of espresso in something. If you are a barista or familiar with espresso techniques you get this. Anyway, the barita opens the window and asks me where o was a barista, so I tell her Montana. She proceeds to tell me that she got her training in Seattle and was trained by some coffee company I have never heard of.. anyway tge way she said this was something else. Not impressed and our breve was mediocre to say tge least. Maybe a refresher in Seattle is needed. Oh, and the menu board said $6.80 for my drink and I ordered an extra shot and was charged over $10. When I asked about this I was told menu boards were out of date. Well,...
