Joe's Sports Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Grants Pass

Been a loyal customer of Joes for a number of years. Asked if my wife and I could share a Philly Sandwich $17.50 menu price and for the side get 1/2 onion rings and 1/2 sweet potato fries without any additional charges and was told no problem. When the waitress came out with our food we received 2 1/2 onion rings and 12 small sweet potato fries, a smaller than usual portion. Then when leaving were charged $19 ($2.50) up charge for onion rings. I explained we only received 2 1/2 onion rings and were told there would be no added costs. And to boot we got like 12 small sweet potato fries. She said this is the owners wishes to keep food costs down, and would not adjust the $2.50 off my bill. I then emailed the owners and he hasn’t showed good customer service skills and seems to think it was fair to up charge for 2 onion rings also. Says I’m lucky Medford has a split plate fee for sharing a meal. And it’s really not about the $2.50 here, it’s about how they treat people. I wish I took photos. Can’t recommend this business because the attitude and not trying to accommodate customers...

Ive been wanting to try a wing place and this came up. Sadly, it was disappointing. The wings were partially frozen, so as they cooked, the inside was still pink. The frozen sweet potato fries came out ok. One of the servers was eating cheetos, I asked if she could wash her hands, the bartender said ok, but it never happened. Actually they took it as a joke and laughed it off and mocked me like I couldn't see them. Don't put your hands to your mouth and not wash them, idk where your hands or mouth has been. I brought it up again and the bartender shrugged it off because 30 mins later after touching even more ppls food, she still didn't wash her hands. Learn some food safety standards! My first time there and our waitress was inconsiderate and careless. She only checked on us about once an hour so we were left waiting to order our food while hungry. We noticed while we waited for her, she seemed too busy chit chatting with staff and texting on her own cell phone. It was a busy night as it was trivia night so all tables were full. We ordered $50 worth of food after out waitress finally decided to take our order. We did share our negative experience with the owner. He did apologize and had the waitress apologize. But the service didn't really improve. The positive part of the visit was that our food was really good. But after being treated the way we were, our bill should've been discounted.
