Had a dining experience Friday night that in my many years of dining out at restaurants- rates as one of the worst ever. The restaurant was full, with 2 servers and one cook. There was also a large party who was finishing when we were seated. Our dinner took the better part of an hour to arrive- we almost left. I ordered a salad and it arrived with the dinner- nice. The 2 servers were untrained and unaware of any customers' needs and wants. The other parties seated in our vicinity waited equally as long, with glum looks on their faces. Although apologetic, the servers offered nothing to compensate for this ridiculous experience. Waiters didn't serve water, suggest another glass of wine, clear plates, refills, no suggestive selling, and disappeared when we needed our check. My wife had to track someone down for the check once we were finished. Who cares about how good or bad the food is when the rest of the experience sucks? We dined at this restaurant 2 yrs. ago on a Friday night and they were running a wait- with 2 servers and about 14 tables. The difference then was that the owner actually was present and helped out- as opposed to this recent visit. I give this place zero stars and I doubt they will be around long. If you love waiting excessively long for your food- this is the...
Read moreI’m not sure what I’m missing here. I came in on a Saturday night at 6 PM to an empty restaurant and stayed until a little bit after 7, and not one other person came to dine in. I’m afraid that alone is saying a lot. The waitress was very sweet, but when I asked to change my wine to something different (first glass was rancid), she had to ask a manager. The manager was incredibly rude, made me feel so uncomfortable, and when I chose a different wine, she replied with “well that’s too much of an upgrade”, to which I responded that I was willing to pay for it. After pouring the new glass, she put it on the bar and was walking away while saying “here try that” under her breath, never making eye contact or checking in on anything later. The second glass was also rancid. Obviously wine isn’t being poured much here. I don’t consider myself to be a wine snob or anything, but it’s pretty obvious when an open bottle of wine needs to be tossed. The food was just okay, my green curry seemed like an entire block of tofu mixed with frozen peas and carrots. The manager (or whoever she was) made me feel so unwelcome and uneasy all I wanted to do was leave. Her poor attitude and customer service was awful. The empty restaurant makes all the sense now. I felt bad for...
Read moreThe service was great! Beautiful atmosphere! I loved the murals the Tiffany sconces in the shape of peacocks! I loved my Thai iced tea with coconut milk! My friends loved their food. So if you don’t have food sensitivities or allergies then highly recommend this restaurant.
I thought my food was tasty but I don’t recommend here for those who need gluten free food. I was assured almost the entire menu could be made gf. I was shown the few options that were not safe for me. Ingredient wise my meal was safe. But I still ended up sick later that night. So I’m guessing that something unintentional but very common happened like using the same utensils to stir my food and something with gluten at some point or the same pan was used or something. I don’t know. I just know honest mistakes happen. I know there was no malicious intentions, things just happen.
The bathrooms were really stuffy and hotter than the sun! Could use some ventilation or something.
But again very sweet, pleasant waitress staff. Beautiful setting for a romantic meal, special occasions, or for just meeting up with friends/family! Oo if I were back in high school I’d totally go here for dinner before a dance! Like winter formal or...
