SAM'S BURGER — Restaurant in Grants Pass

I'm new to grants pass. I tried Taste of India last week (doordash), and it was actually pretty good. I saw the 4.8 star reviews for Sams Burger and thought it'd be hard to go wrong. Got the same thing here as at the other place, butter chicken. The food was just objectively awful. Lumpy, bland, very little chicken in there, and butter chicken is supposed to be like a cream sauce. This was definitely not that. It didn't look anything remotely like the menu pictures that come up on Google. Portion size was half of what came from taste of India, for the exact same price. Like when I picked the door dash bag up, I thought there had to be some kind of mistake. Nope, the only mistake was my own--ordering from here. There was like a quarter cup of rice, and it was watery. Like water pooled up in the styrofoam container. Really unhappy that I wasted my money. I tossed it and made myself a grilled cheese sandwich instead lol.

Who knows, maybe the burgers are amazing. I wouldn't eat the Indian food again, even if you told me that taking a single bite would bring my childhood dog...

I don't give a lot of places 5 stars, but with almost no info on Google, I had no clue what to expect. When I walked in my food was almost ready because I called ahead. Little did I know, almost none of what they have to offer was on Google so I'm writing this to fill in the gaps! I now have added photos of the current menu and the inside of the eatery. THE SERVICE: the woman is super nice and cooks authentic Indian food. THE FOOD: Burgers were very fairly priced and really tasty! My husband had the Indian food and also liked his, just keep in mind that the spices are strong! He went with medium hottness and it was still pretty spicy :) I am overall very impressed. This place is right next to the King Market. They sell American and Indian food, beer, lottery tickets. They have drinks and seating available. WARNINGS: at night this is a little bit sketchy of a place to be. A lot of homeless like this spot, but the ones I met were nice. Pushy, but nice. Give this neat...

Ordered from doordash food for my mom and I. Dasher got there and they told him they gave the food out to someone else and then refused to remake it. 1 star is too much, don’t waste your money.

Update: It’s not necessarily that they gave the food to the wrong driver (which they shouldn’t have), or that they refused to remake it, but according to the doordash driver, the staff was incredibly rude about the entire situation. Good customer service and good food is what gets you more money and clientele in this industry. There’s plenty of other places to eat that will at least speak to you as a human being, and not try to avoid their own faults but instead own up to them.
